They make a jean body for every figure and their fit is amazing. If you haven’t tried Kut…. You really must. Kut doesn’t just make denim… they make the cutest tops, jackets and dresses. The quality is Amazing washes up fabulous and has a classic timeless feel with current trends. I was very happy to do a whole fashion segment on just their brand as it’s one of my favorites. Yes, they came home with me along with the sweater, and I might be wearing the jeans several times a week!:). Jeans are also true to size, a straight leg, midrise, and super comfortable.

I always love a good striped tee, and this long sleeve tee with little detail at the neck is so soft, you’ll want it in a couple of colors. It fits true to size, can be worn alone or layered. I paired it with the camo shirt unbuttoned and another look with the reversible baseball jacket that is really on-trend this Fall. Both outfits I paired with my all-time favorite sneaker. (This is the coolest sneaker and one of my best-selling items.)

I hope your week was a good one! It seemed to fly by for me, and I can’t seem to catch up and get everything done on my to-do list! Have you had weeks or months like this? With the Holidays fast approaching, it snowballs. November is my busiest month, with my Holiday Home decorating business, Styling clients, and blogging business—not to mention all the personal list to-dos! I’ve learned some tricks that help keep me organized.

Tips and Tricks to Staying Organized

I have learned to take a day at a time, and lists help me. It’s essential to have a weekly to-do list and break it down into daily parts… I highlight what I don’t finish that day and make it my first thing for the next day.

If you’re like me, you might have great expectations of what you can accomplish in a day, which can set your week up for failure. Instead, Make a priority list, a List of Things I would love to do, and an “If I have time” List. Break the priority list into items for each day. I have used this daily “Paper” calendar by Day Designer for several years.

Then, when you accomplish that day’s priorities, pick something from the other list. This will allow you to achieve your daily priorities and feel good about the day versus causing stress. Four Meat Chili Recipe

Happy Sunday!

Hi Pretty Ladies,

Happy November! Before we know it, Thanksgiving will be here. I hope you had a great Halloween. I spent it with a couple of girlfriends, wishing a good friend goodbye as she’ll be moving out of state in a few days. It was a fun night catching up, sharing good food, and having a couple of glasses of prosecco. My girlfriend’s home is in a neighborhood that gets trick-or-treaters, so seeing the cute littles in their costumes was fun.

Can you believe that the next day, I took down and packed up the fall and Halloween decorations and started decorating for Christmas? But I am doing it with more of a winter feeling. Fresh herbs and citrus, pinecones and greenery with candles and velvet ribbon, and pulling out my vintage green transferware. My Holiday decorations are buried in my storage this year; usually, my storage room is organized (this year, it’s packed to the brim)

With content creation as my job, I have to have our home decorated way before the season to share ideas and the season with you. Not to mention, Thanksgiving is so late this year that if I wait too long, I won’t enjoy the season. I also decorate Christmas trees for several clients, who all want theirs done before Thanksgiving, so I got a good jumpstart.

My four-meat chili recipe has been a family favorite ever since. It’s below. I also had to share some great sales you don’t want to miss and a few things you could have missed this week.

Four Meat Chili Recipe:

One 1/2 pounds Ground beef

1 Cup cooked bacon chopped

1 pound Rib eye steak browned chopped

1.3-pound jalapeño cheddar sausage

3 cups of tomato sauce I use fresh tomatoes puréed

1/2 cup water

1 1/2 cup chopped onion

11/2 cup chopped bell peppers

Two tablespoons of tomato paste

Two tablespoons Kitchen Bouquet

One tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce

Three teaspoons of garlic powder

One teaspoon cumin

Two garlic cloves minced

1teaspoon chili flakes

One pack chili season (I make my own)

Instructions:

Add a little olive oil and brown the steak in a hot skillet. Add fresh garlic and cook. Set aside to cool before cutting.

In the same pan, brown ground beef. Add kitchen bouquet, Worcestershire, seasonings, onion, tomato paste, and peppers. Cook on low

Meanwhile, in a crock pot, add tomato sauce and 1/2 cup water on low

Cook bacon (I cook mine in the oven). When done, let cool and cut into pieces.

Add to crockpot.

Add beef mixture to crock pot.

Cook the sausages in the same pan, then let them cool, chop, and add them to the crockpot.

Cut steak and add to crockpot, stirring as you add ingredients.

Taste and add more seasonings if you feel the dish needs a touch of salt and pepper or if you like more heat and chili powder or pepper flakes.

Let simmer on low for at least an hour ( I make it late morning and let it simmer all day.

Serve with cornbread

And chili toppings.

Diced green onions

Hello, pretty ladies,

I hope your July was a good one. I feel like I just asked you about June! These summer months seem to fly by.

Our oldest son is getting married on August 24th, and I know it will be here so fast. As we’re getting closer, I’ve been emotional several times. Maybe this will help me have my emotions under control by the wedding week.

I haven’t done a Favorite Things wrap-up in a while, where I share what I have been loving and wearing or using on repeat. I could say “Favorite Things,” but my True favorite things aren’t “things”… It’s family, & friends, entertaining/hosting, making a home a home-cooking, gardening and traveling, and wandering boutiques, bookstores, and antique stores.

(to be honest, I’ve been wearing for years, and it’s always been a great way to wear jeans that might be just a hair too short because of my height. I could cuff them and make them look right. It always felt a little French-inspired. You can get wide-leg, patch-pocket, and straight-leg denim in various washes and price points. Let me tell you, I am in love with them all.
