I hope your week is going well. The Nordstrom Sale ends Sunday, and I want to recap what I purchased this year from the Sale briefly. I will be wearing 11 Fall items from the Sale on repeat all season long. I hope you had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend as much as I am. This week did fly by, and I can’t believe how fast the summer is going. We’re headed to the rodeo tonight, which is one of my favorite summer things to do. It’s Utah’s Pioneer Day this weekend (Utah’s celebration of the pioneers arriving in the state.) Parades, fireworks, and Rodeos are celebrated like the fourth of July. Ogden Rodeo is one of the top 5 in the country.

Hello Pretty Ladies, 

I worked with Station Park in Farmington, Ut, a couple of weeks ago. .on the Opening of one of their sister properties Mountain View Village in Riverton, Utah. What made this even more exciting is Dawn with Party til Dawn, a long-time social media friend who works with one of their sister properties Totem Lake in Washington. She was flying in so we could work together on covering the Grand Opening of Mountain View and a little bit of Station Park. 

Talk about the perfect opportunity to Mix Business with Friendship…Dawn and I met on Instagram and became fast friends. We have a lot in common; our styles are very similar, we’re both midlifers, love our families, think a lot alike, and work for some of the same brands. We also both have working relationships with the Center Cal group. Not to mention texting each other daily. But, meeting each other in person was just so exciting. We felt like we’d known each other forever.

We had the opportunity to stay at the Hyatt Place, conveniently located on Station Parks property. Stay on the property makes for easy shopping & dining. Anything Barefoot dreams Is excellent to pick up in the Nordstrom sale. From blankets, cardigans, Long Cardigan, and socks! So cozy and soft, a total splurge, and worth every penny. We own a couple of blankets (which Make for a great gift). I love giving the socks, and I own a couple of cardigans I wear to death! Barefoot Dream is a brand you will adore!

A cream cami strap dress for $24.99 that hits at the knee, is a great basic dress any body type could wear along with any age. I love its almost linen feel, Hides a tummy if you have one and can be worn with or without a little jacket. I’ve styled it with my favorite sandals & bag this summer.

It hits right above the knee (reminder, I am 5’9 1/2), perfect to wear over a swimsuit or dress it up for a summer date night or lunch with the girls. 

I’ve paired it with neutral accessories, a straw bag, and strap sandals, but you could easily pair it with a pop of color for a different Summer vibe.

Strapless Dress with Ruffled Hem

Little black strapless dress $19.99. I love a good strapless dress. Strapless dresses are easy to throw on over a swimsuit, and you can quickly wear them from the pool to lunch. This dress is a touch see-thru, so I wore a little slip underneath; not necessary if you wear it for a swimsuit cover-up. 

I’ve styled it to wear on a little afternoon date with my hubby—a denim jacket with pearl details for a little more dressed-up feel. I finished off the look with black quilted slides (old). We spent the weekend in Park City for Father’s Day, as my hubby wanted a little getaway. It was nice to relax and have a slight change of pace. Don’t you love a weekend getaway? 

Today, I want to share a great Amazon find: two-piece tropical printed short set. So affordable at $29 for both pieces and comes in several prints and color choices.

Short sets are having a big “moment” right now, and I am here for it.

A short set is also an excellent option for a getaway because you can create multiple looks by packing a couple of extra pieces. 

I created three different outfits for you with this two-piece set. Easy to create, easy to pack, and perfect for the pool, lunch, shopping, and date night.

This two-piece Amazon short set was styled by just using the two pieces, A kimono, and shorts. This look is easily accomplished by adding A bodysuit or tank top, cute sandals (I am wearing Tory Burch Millers), a straw bag, and Fun tropical earrings.

Easy outfit look for vacation, site seeing, shopping, and even worn over a bathing suit to the pool.

Outfit number two was created with the shorts from the two-piece set. Paired with a black blazer, the same Spanx bodysuit, and accessorized with Black open-toed Vince Camuto booties, a leather clutch, and finished off with gold jewelry. 

The blazer gives the printed shorts a more polished look and takes this look to Summer chic versus summer vacation. Outfit number two is one of my favorite looks for summer. 

Outfit number two is a look you could wear to work, wear on a date night or have cocktails with the girls.

This look could be perfect for brunch/ shopping with the girls, a coffee meeting, running errands, and casual dinner.
