It’s officially Sweater weather, and I am all for it. I have a “Fashion Fix” Tv segment Today, Tuesday 18th, at 10:30 on ABC Good Things Utah. Stream it live from anywhere Here. I will share the segment after it airs Here. So if you can’t watch it live, you’ll still be able to view the show.

With all the different styles of jeans on trend this season, I thought it would be fun to share with you the types of sweaters that are trending because of the jean styles, as well as some great sweaters for the Holidays and how you can style them. 

I headed to Station Park in Farmington, Ut. To shop this year’s sweater trends. Hitting, Nordstrom Rack, H&M, Evereve, Bohme, and Alter’d State. 

Here’s what I purchased:

Tips on how to style Sweaters with Jean Styles

Fair isle sweaters are coming in strong for the Fall and Winter seasons. We started seeing them a couple of years ago, just a touch. Now, they’re everywhere and in every color, most common in the traditional hip-length sweater style, tunics, and sweater dresses. 

How I Styled:

Here is a fair isle sweater under $30, great to wear with straight-leg jeans or skinny jeans, even cargo pants ( these are Chico’s wax-coated slim leg ). Both fit tts Paired with hoops, Chelsea boots with lug soles, a $59 Dolce Vita, and a puffer bag.

A tunic sweater is a great style to wear with your favorite skinny jeans and tall boots. Skinny jeans are not going anywhere. They are just styled differently and worn with tall boots.

How I Styled:

Here I’ve styled this multi-colored striped sweater from H&M, station Park With distressed Skinny Jeans and tall Vincent Cumto boots, with a touch of Western vibe, and brought out the orange with a pop of color bag and earrings.

Evereve New Fall Try-on

Sweater dresses have a big moment and can be layered in many different ways. From work to casual and a great option for the Holidays. I personally love them layered with the longer shacket that are style trending for Fall and Winter.

How I styled this H&M sweater dress:

Paired this grey sweater dress with an Evereve long Shacket, tall boots, and a lack of color hat.

Embellished sweaters -with rhinestones or pearls, on soft cashmere feeling sweaters. Make for a great Holiday option, 

How I styled this H&M Rhinestones sweater:

Here I have paired with Faux leather crop pants and healed booties, Rhinestones earrings, perfect for Office parties, Thanksgiving dinners, or upcoming Holiday parties.

Sweater vest -with a twist, last year we saw the pullover v-neck sweater vest come in strong. This year we’re seeing it as a button-up. Cute to wear alone as a top or over a shirt left open or 1/2 buttoned. An excellent option for those who live in warm Fall temperatures.

Styled here with Wide leg cropped denim and Chelsea boots. It was buttoned up. And square hoops from uncommon James.

Statement sleeve-Here is an open-front cardigan with statement sleeves by Madewell sweater from Nordstrom Rack under $80 is great to wear with flare pants (these are Spanx ). I love that the flare adds length to your leg, and the open front hits the hip to flow Both fit tts

How I styled them:

Worn with a cami, rock stud ValentinoAnd paired with Halloween jewelry, you could switch to rhinestones for a holiday look.

Preppy– This style fits like a regular sweater worn with a hem fold under and pairs great with straight-leg jeans or this season’s plaid pencil pants. A shirt can be worn underneath for a fun layering look.

How I styled it:

Here is v neck preppy cable sweater under $70, perfect with straight-leg jeans. Here wear the Zara side slit straight leg  Great worn alone or with a shirt underneath! Paired with a paper boy hat “lack color” and my favorite Sam Edelman sandals on a significant sale.

What is 3rd piece rule?

This Rule (which, in fashion, there aren’t rules) it’s a great tip that works for dressing up or changing the look of any outfit just by changing the 3rd piece.

How does this styling rule/tip work?

I am here if you wear faux leather crop pants and a denim shirt. Although cute on its own, When you add the 3rd piece, aka the jacket or the plaid shacket, it gives your outfit a completely different look just by changing the 3rd piece. 

Creating different looks:

You could change out just the jacket over and over on this basic outfit and achieve so many different looks. 

This Rule is a great tip that works for traveling as well to stretch your wardrobe without taking as many pieces.

I hope your week is going well and you enjoy the last bit of summer. Our weather hasn’t quite hit the fall temperatures, but it’s coming faster than some want. I love summer, but I adore Fall. The cooler mornings and evenings, the smell of the air, and the changing of the leaves are just a few things I am looking forward to. Here I said western boots, a big Fall trend, and a cowboy hat. On a chilly day, you could add a denim jacket. I hope you had a great weekend. I just got home from a great road trip with my mom and sister (more on that next week.) Nothing like spending time with family and checking off places on your bucket list. What’s on your bucket list?

Today, I am sharing a quick little Fall Target Haul. Three outfit inspirations you can mix and match all season long. Affordable pieces, all under $40.00. A perfect Cardigan, easy-to-wear skinny jeans, button-up shirt, clogs, and an oversize bag. Pieces you’ll wear all season long. Think of all the ways you could wear each part and how you can mix and match them. Clogs are a big fall trend, and the cardigan is super soft, has pockets, and makes for a great layering piece.

Another cardigan for fall layering is grey-washed skinny jeans without any distressing, a graphic tee, quilted slip-on tennis shoes, and a faux leather backpack. This look is great for many occasions, Saturday style, back-to-school, and casual coffee dates. Mix and match these pieces all season long.

Look 3 is a great comfy travel outfit, casual sports outfit, or easy lounge outfit. Comfortable sweat pants that come in several colors, oversized, so size down. Paired with a rocker graphic tee and a left-open button, add a styling element. I 3 dressing in odd numbers, just like in designs 3,5 and 7, adds interest and dresses up the outfit a touch. ( not that sweats and a tee are dressy, the button-up adds an extra element.)
