Need to eat?
The Advenire houses a fantastic restaurant Wood Ash Rye, so good I’d drive out of my way to eat there again. It was so good we ate All of our meals there (except when we spent the day at Zion) as we wanted to try everything, and it did not disappoint.
The hotel also houses a full-service bar, serving craft cocktails and local beers—a perfect place to relax at the end of the day or before dinner. With beautiful decor and extra touches, you can’t help but feel like you are at home.

A little about Zion since The Advenire is just a 50-minute ride to Zion national park. We enjoyed the easy ride to the Park, driving through the quaint little town of Springdale. Knowing we wanted to stop, eat dinner and do some shopping after exploring the Park and heading back to St. George or Home at The Advenire (as we said)
Zion National park
Zion National park is stunning just for the drive, but the dozens of hikes from easy to expert are God’s beautiful creations and so worth spending the time to do.

We left our hotel after breakfast and weren’t in a rush. Enjoying the 55 min scenic drive, and I knew we would also like to drive the tunnel and then park and take the shuttle to the drop-off near the hike we chose.
Lower Emerald Pool was the hike we chose, with three levels/ stages to reach the top. It was a hike that we knew Ben could do after having knee surgery and fit in our time frame. I highly recommend this hike if you are older or have children. With primarily paved, and because of the three separate pools and levels, you could stop after viewing the first pool if you needed to.
After our hike to the top of Emerald Pool, we went to the Zion Lodge, where you could dine, sit outside or grab a beer on the patio. We enjoyed a beer and the view, then caught a shuttle back to our car and headed to town to find Oscar’s Mexican food that the Bartender recommended for dinner.
- Chicken Burrito
- Chips Salsa & Guacamole
After dinner, we did a little shopping and headed back to The Advenire to enjoy the spa. Finishing the evening with a walk around the charming little town and ended back at the Advenire to relax on the outdoor bar patio with a craft cocktail.
A perfect weekend getaway. We highly recommend making a trip to The Advenire in St. George.
Living in Utah, we have driven through St.George hundreds of times to get to Las Vegas or California. But, we never really stopped and enjoyed what the town has to offer. With beautiful red rocks, hiking, lakes, and the gateway to Zions, it’s worth a trip in its self.
