Wardrobe Basics from Chicos Taking you into the Holiday’s

Hello Pretty Ladies,

Today’s post is a mix of Holiday pieces and basic wardrobe pieces from Chico’s.

Building a wardrobe that meets your basic needs and serves you on special occasions and during the holiday season is about choosing the right pieces, knowing what looks good on your body type, and understanding your style. I talk about this often and will share again how to build your wardrobe in a future post. Today, it’s about taking basic pieces and mixing them with holiday pieces that feel like true styles you could wear every day, depending on how you style them.

With my tips and tricks, I hope you’ll see how you can create festive looks with items you may already have in your closet, and mix them with a few new pieces you may want to add from Chico’s New collection.

Holiday Outfit Inspo in Jeans

We all have them and we all wear them… creating a Holiday Outfit with jeans…Chico’s great wardrobe builders make great Holiday pieces, too. Jean Style Tip:

Tip: Dark-wash straight-leg jeans or dark-wash jeans with a slight flare are the best styles to wear for a dressier look. As well as black jeans. I will be styling several jean styles to showcase different outfit options.

A Color Cobo that Works

Fun Color combo for the Holidays: Burgundy, pink, and cream. Festive, yet not traditional red or green for those ladies who want something a little different. Why it works and still looks festive, it’s on trend, a cropped faux leather trench coat in a rich shade of burgundy, paired with pink, is unexpected yet romantic. I mixed textures, added some bling, and wore a festive lip color. Think of all the ways you can mix and match these pieces in your everyday wardrobe for different looks year-round.

A Fringe Moment

Shades of Grey and Classic white, a perfect combo year-round. This color combo pairs well with silver and looks great with Red for a festive Holiday-season outfit. These great classic wardrobe pieces are ones you’ll find yourself wearing on repeat and pairing with different accent colors to create different looks

Tips for Taking Wardrobe Basics into the Holidays

The tricks to taking your wardrobe basics into the Holidays are your accessories.. Make a statement with your accessories. In this case, I used metallic gold with a few pearls to create a dressed-up feel. Metallics always make things festive.

-Choose fabrics that feel dressier, such as Tweeds, satins, silks, cashmere, and velvets, from on-trend seasonal colors

Choose Colors that are festive and feel holiday.

Reds, Greens, Jewel tones, Classic black, and this season, Chocolate brown, Burgundy wine, Soft Pinks, Smoky greys, and of course, Metallics.

Adding a few New pieces

Here are a few of the things I am noticing:) & What I’ve been Fall Trend spotting. Mixing Affordable finds with classic wardrobe staples to refresh your Fall wardrobe. Think Layers, classic Ralph Lauren, Rich fabrics, wool, tweeds, plaid, Cable knit sweaters, mixed with denim, and suede. The English countryside sets the stage for this year’s classic fall, adding in that East Coast Preppy vibe. Take these classic wardrobe basics and mix in this season’s hot colors and accessories. It is a great way to elevate any outfit this Fall.

Western

Western style has been a huge trend this year, and of course, I am loving it. So many different ways to add the trend into your style, from boots to belts to hats. This fringe jacket I just got in is EVERYTHING.

Hello Pretty Ladies,

The most anticipated Sale of the Year! It starts tomorrow, but only for cardholders with Icon Static…. I didn’t want non-cardholders to feel left out, so I scoured all 136 pages of the sale section to bring you my top picks throughout the week! Hoping you enjoy seeing some of the pieces I own and a peek at my wish list. I am swooning over them. Perfect pieces to add to your Summer wardrobe, transition into Fall, and pieces you’ll live in all Winter! This Sale is the best price of the Year and makes for a great time to stock up.

I’ve been shopping this sale for over 30 years and look forward to it every year. It’s a great time to pick up items/brands that are hard to find on sale! They have amazing beauty bundles you can’t get any other time of the year!

Items I purchase for my wardrobe, I wear, tend to wear on repeat as well as build my classic wardrobe with good quality pieces.

This year’s SALE is truly one of the BEST I’ve seen in years… My wish list would be everything you see here in my graphics (if I could.

Things to Remember & a few tips

Things to remember: The Anniversary SALE is open for preview and starts tomorrow for Icon static cardholders….Don’t have a card? Apply here to shop for the Cardholder sale from July 8th to August 3rd. Store sales will open to the public from July 14th to August 3rd. Are you a cardholder? Remember, you get a triple points day, so don’t forget to schedule it for the day you’re headed to shop.

If you want to score early access, apply for a Nordstrom credit card ASAP. The retailer offers two types of cards, a retail credit card and a Visa credit card, which provide the same benefits and are eligible for early access to the Anniversary Sale. While your cardmember status depends on yearly spending amounts (shared below), all cardmembers automatically start at Influencer status, which means you’ll get an extra four days to shop the Sale before it opens to everyone.

Insider tips

Early access for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale begins tomorrow for Cardholders, and even I can’t stop until the 11th! The bummer is that things start selling quickly, so I have some tips!

Shop online! This is where you will find the most extensive selection!

Add to Wishlist! If you see something you love, add it to your wishlist, so the day you’re able to shop, you can immediately “add to cart”!

Add a different size! If the size you are looking for sells out in your size, add a different size to your shopping bag and check back often as things get returned and stocked! I’ve even had luck exchanging after the sale for the correct size and color.

Expedite Shipping! For $20, this bumps your order and gives you a better chance to get what you want!

When can I shop for the 2025 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?

July 1st- Online preview begins ( you can start planning and creating your wishlist)

Icons July 8th-11th -Icon Early Access. Icons spend over $15,000 per Year

Ambassadors – July 9th-11th- Ambassador early access. Ambassadors spend over $5000 per Year.

Influencers – July 10th-11th- Influencer early access. Influencers spend over $500 per Year.

Everyone – July 12th- Aug-3rd- General access non- card holders or members can shop

A new coat again, it’s the best time to pick up designer pieces that are hard to find on sale. This is this year’s pick, Ralph Lauren’s plaid cropped pea coat

Donna Karen’s cashmere deodorant.. I have used this for 30 years and just love it! 1 box lasts for the whole year! Smells great and works

A Charlotte Tilbury makeup set, I love Charlotte T, and this is one of the only times of the year to grab on sale!

The BEST moisturizing lotion by Khiels, it’s so rich and creamy, really moisturizes your skin, and again, only time of year to grab this big size at this price.

The Only White Dress You Need This Summer

Hello Pretty Ladies,

Happy Mother’s Day! I hope you have a beautiful day being celebrated. Today, I’m sharing what I’ll wear to church and brunch with the family, along with a little Mother’s Day message.

My greatest accomplishment is the family we’ve built. Not only the children I birthed, whom I am so proud of and thank God every day for. But also the home we opened up to others. The family came from friends, and the children we’ve been so blessed to have.

A Family is something you build, not something you’re given. Having a whole home, feeding others, opening our hearts, and being a safe space brings immense joy. I am grateful every day for those in our lives and a part of our “FAMILY,” it makes my mama heart happy🤍🤍🤍

Mother’s Day can be hard for some, with their mamas no longer with them or having difficulty becoming one on their own🙏🏻🤍 My heart goes out to you! You’ll be in my prayers🙏🏻
