Thankful you like and create my recipes; I am adding more of my family’s favorite meals here on the blog for you to enjoy.  It makes me happy you are trying them out and sharing some of my family’s favorite meals with your family.

11 Bridal Shower Gifts for the Bride, She’ll Absolutely Love!

11 Bridal Shower Gifts for the Bride, She’ll Absolutely Love!

Personal Bridal Shower Gifts

Looking for a unique Bridal shower gift? While I  recommend sticking to the registry for wedding gifts, a bridal shower is a perfect opportunity to gift something a bit more personal. It’s also a chance to give the Bride something that can be used on the actual wedding day, honeymoon, or beyond.

11 Bridal Shower Gifts for the Bride That She'll Absolutely Love

Consider the bride’s personal traits and hobbies when selecting a gift. Does the bride like to cook, Has a hobby, entertain or travel? It’s fun for the bride-to-be to be surprised by a unique gift that she might not think of for herself. (I love giving an outfit for the Honeymoon) Whether the gift is useful or indulgent, she’ll surely appreciate the sentiment behind it.

The Pj’s above would make for a darling shower gift for the bride or a perfect gift for the bridesmaids. Throwing a Bridal Shower or bridal brunch? How cute would the color scheme be, using the pj’s as color inspo?  “Tiffany blue” Such a cute shower inspo. (the mug is a Tiffany & co. China cup) HERE

A Bridal Shower is a Time to Spoil the bride.

While it’s wonderful to select something from the couple’s register for a bridal shower gift, it’s also a great opportunity to gift the bride something special. Personalized gifts (like the cheese board above), pretty lingerie, jewelry, a beautiful candle to burn as she gets ready on her day, and a Custom top are all thoughtful presents that put the spotlight on her.

What to Wear to A Bridal Shower

Depending on where the bridal shower is, and the time of day, it depends on what you should wear. Is it in the garden, at a restaurant, at an event center? This is to be considered while planning your outfit. I choose 9 dresses that could work for any Bridal Shower. From a Bridal Brunch, a Romantic Garden Party, a luncheon, or Summer night dinner.  There is a Dress above that would be appropriate.

How to know How much to Spend on the Bridal Gift

Since the bridal shower is a little more casual than the wedding, the price range is also more flexible. Spending between $30-$80 on a gift (on the lower end if you are not particularly close to the bride and higher if she is a good friend or family member). Is a normal budget. You could also join in with a friend or family member to purchase a larger gift.

This week over on Instagram, I’ll share All things Bridal Shower, From Outfit inspiration, gift wrapping ideas, a must-have tool, party ideas, and a couple of recipes. And heading on a trip and taking you with me for a real-life bridal shower. Make sure to be watching stories! Have a Beautiful week.

Father’s Day Gift Guide: Ideas He’ll Love!

Father’s Day Gift Guide: Ideas He’ll Love!

June marks the beginning of summer to most and Father’s Day in a few short weeks. This year {June 20th!} I like to get an early start on those gifts for him. Men {at least in my case} can be tricky to shop for when they give no requests, but focusing gifts around their needs, hobbies, and daily moments is always a well-loved option. A few ideas to consider:

Above I showcased some of the items I know my hubby would love. Veldskoen shoes, a Handcock Gourmet Lobster dinner from Gift Tree. (they have several types of meals and food baskets ship direct.) Most men I know love food and make for a thoughtful gift.

Clothing always makes for a great gift, as I’ve learned most men don’t like to shop, let alone buy clothes.

A beautiful and Handmade throw by Thula Tula. So very soft, easy to care for, and is a gift that gives back. Sustainably handcrafted with love in South Africa. I choose the Xhosa blanket above, textiles inspired by African culture. It can be used as a blanket, throw, or wrap. I personally love it’s a mini work of art. The men in my life love a soft throw for sitting on the deck on a summer evening or while watching tv. Save 15% off with code darcy15  HERE.

McCrea’s caramels are always a hit, and their gift boxes are beautiful. Here are some of our favorite flavors. Single Malt Scotch and Black Lava Sea Salt caramel. (Both included in the Father’s Day gift box!)

You can focus on dad’s Hobby’s, career, things he loves, or sports he enjoys. My hubby is a contractor and a ski coach, which means dry, chapped hands, always in need of tools, and loves Ski items. This opens a lot of doors for thoughtful gifts. From practical items like hand balms, travel mug, or water jug to ski socks and cool readers

Or searching for a thoughtful gift, A cool coffee table book on Ski resorts, or something bigger like a hotel stay and lift ticket to a resort he doesn’t have a pass for. (or even a massage because he abuses his body!) You get the idea:)  Does your dad love gadgets? What about Grilling?  Below you’ll find some other fun options most men would love.

Class of 2021, Unisex Gifts for the Graduate!

Class of 2021, Unisex Gifts for the Graduate!

Congratulations to the Class of 2021. We have our own graduate in the house and are excited to share some gifts he’d approve of. This is such an important time in the graduate’s life and for the parents as well.  Starting a new chapter in life, whether the graduate is headed off to live in college dorms, move out on their own or live at home while attending school or starting a career. Even some great ideas if they’re headed on a senior trip! Therefore I picked gifts that any graduate could use no matter their next steps.

A proud mom of a class of 2021 graduate had to show off below a few Senior photos and announcements. This week over on Instagram is a week full of all things Graduation. From celebration Ideas, what to wear to celebrate, and a couple of proud mom moments.  Here’s a sneak peek HERE and HERE.

Class of 2021, Unisex Gifts for the Graduate!

Class of 2021, Unisex Gifts for the Graduate!

I adore this photo! It makes this mama’s heart soar! I snapped this photo of Hampton right before they called his name to the stage. I think it captures the happiness he’s feeling in his eyes. We’re so proud of what this boy has overcome to get here.

Congratulation to the graduate and to the parents who raised them! Good luck to the class of 2021, and may you enjoy the upcoming moments and celebrations. To those needing gift ideas to celebrate those graduates, here are my picks below and even Hampton approved!

The gifts above are perfect for a college bond student, a traveling student, and a career-bound adult.  Everyone needs good sheets, an extra charger and a cozy robe (yes, it’s unisex and oh so cozy) A cozy blanket to keep them warm while studying. Organizing is a must once (adulting hard work). Travel cubes are wonderful for keeping items organized and saving space. A toiletry bag is perfect for travel yet essential for dorm living—a Yeti mug to keep that coffee warm for long studying nights. I don’t know a single graduate who wouldn’t want an Apple watch.

Class of 2021, Unisex Gifts for the Graduate!

Shop the Post:

The above list has a couple of personal items and some fun ideas, and one special gift for the girl on your list. (although all the items are unisex, even the scarf)  I know my graduate would love these items.

Because our family loves satin pillowcases, the boys included! I thought it would serve as a great gift to others. A cozy scarf is always a thoughtful gift; a mug and mug warmer comes in many colors. And a great backpack is a must to carry all those learning materials and studying tools:) another great option for a throw; everybody wants something cozy while studying. Because staying hydrated is essential, a water bottle is so important and a great gift option. Kiehl’s lotion is a splurge and an extraordinary gift that they wouldn’t buy for themselves. An extra set of crisp white towels because you can never have enough towels.

Hoping I inspired you to purchase something practical& thoughtful for your Graduate! Congratulations to your graduate as well.

9 Things You Need For Your Fitness Goals In 2021

9 Things You Needed For Your Fitness Goals In 2021

9 Things You Need For Your Fitness Goals In 2021

9 Things You Needed For Your Fitness Goals In 2021

Let’s talk about fitness

Let’s talk about fitness; not something I talk a lot about. Fitness isn’t something I talk about because, well… I don’t love it! However, s I get older, staying active is even more critical. I’m not a gym girl at all. However, I do love pilates, yoga, and weight classes.

It’s not something I do regularly, but I am trying hard to do it. Adding these in more frequently has been something I am working on. I’ve always been very flexible; this has started to change. Losing my flexibility was something I didn’t want to lose, and I have prioritized staying flexible.

Exercise I do like

I like a good walk with my hubby, friends, or family. A good hike with the girls is always fun and an adventure, and being outside in the fresh air and getting the much-needed vitamin C is how I prefer to get in my exercise.

I know how important it is to keep your flexibility and muscle mass up. This year, I am making a better attempt to add some strength training, a kettlebell, and more yoga and pilates. Adding meditation is new to me but has been much needed for my mind and spirit.

Here are a few pieces I love, perfect for workouts, hikes, and even lounging.

Above, I thought I would share some things I love and use now.

9 Things You’ll love

  1. Lulu lemon sports bra= I love the soft fabric and support.
  2. Lulu Lemon Legging= I love it comes in 3 lengths (I need the longest). Firstly, these are not see-through like some of the Lululemons I’ve had before. Instead, the fabric is butter soft and holds you in.
  3. Yoga mat= I love everything about this mat, the feel, the comfort, and the design.
  4. Northface jacket= I love a puffer jacket, and it is much needed in Utah. Winter and even Spring walks can be very chilly. Warm, comfortable, and stylish.
  5. Water bottle= I love the timelines marked to keep me on track. Drinking a lot of water daily has always been important to me, and this helps.
  6. Kettelbell= 10 pounds, not a ton of weight, but it gives you a good workout.
  7. Meditation cushion= perfect for that quiet time. I love the look and comfort.
  8. Collagen powder= is So essential for your joints and benefits your hair, nails, and skin.
  9. Walking shoes= are so affordable and comfortable. I love the style and comfort.

9 Things You Need For Your Fitness Goals In 2021

Collagen is something everyone needs, but even more critical as we age. I add it to my coffee or tea in the morning. I have seen a massive difference in my hair, nails, and, most importantly, my knees.

Yoga is excellent for flexibility, core strength, and your mind. If your weather is nice, try it outside, I promise you’ll love the sense of peace. Not to mention the importance of Vitamin C.  Grab a girlfriend if you need a little nudge. (I use a Yoga class on Youtube) You only need 15-30 mins a day to see results. Here’s one I like HERE. For a successful Meditation, you only need 10-15 min daily. Meditation HERE

Also happy to share my blogging Friends with you today. Please hop over to their blogs to see ways they get into fitness!

❄️Winter in Utah, you need various beanies, fur jackets, scarfs, and boots, along with comfy sweaters and leggings for layering.❤️❄️❤️❄️  I’ve been sharing all things cozy and warm this week over on Instagram, and I thought it would be fun to do a blog post sharing all the details in one place. Including ALL my favorite tried and true Winter cozy pieces. Adding to the fun, I teaming up with a couple of blogger friends to share their cozy picks as well. I’ll link their blogs at the end of my post.

Here are a few of my go-to pieces ✔️ Not only functional & cozy but stylish too. Shop this look HERE

Cozy Must Haves For Winter

Cozy Must-Haves for Winter… Must include boots, and these cute Joan of Arch boots are a must. I have had them for at least 3 seasons and have worn them to death—my favorite Snow boot by far. I love the built-in wedge, the support is amazing, and the comfort is so cozy and warm you’ll live in them all Winter long as I do. Comes in a variety of colors and with or without the sherpa detail. Let’s not forget the traction walking in the snow is amazing.  Shop this look HERE

What I am actually wearing this Spring…. Living in What I am actually wearing this Spring…. Living in Utah as a over 50 Wife, Mom, COCO and content Creator💋

Utah Weather in the Spring 🌱
Calls for layers….

Spring weather here can be “Schizophrenic” from a blizzard To sunny and 60 in a day!

Although we’ve had an unusually strange winter this year, Spring still calls for layers.

Bundling up for the morning, and being able to take pieces off throughout the day, makes a great tip for Utah Springs.

I like classic pieces, in light colors and weights, yet work when layered to keep you warm.

Pieces you can mix and match, great wardrobe builders and add some texture.

- lighter weight & color long Wool coat , looks chic over shoulders, yet not to hot when on (I have a rain coat too)

-Classic trousers are still trending and a great option to look more polished, shades of cream, tan and camel are great for Spring (works well with pastels too)

- Light weight, thinner ribbed mock neck turtleneck. I love the feel and fit of these. Affordable too.

- Vest are a great Spring layer, and the large Plaid/check in neutral shades keeps in classic and add interest. Yet, light enough for spring for layering and not sweat to death 😂
(I love linen vests too)

- Adding texture with a fluffy & light fur on one shoulder (well still be seeing fur details for Spring) Draped on one shoulder does add heat, like wearing around your neck does.

- Classic jewelry in gold & silver mix… and yes, I layered and stacked it on… classic pieces & yet layered gives your look a little edge.

- Western suede pointed toe booties, elongate the leg, add more texture and keep your feet warmer but not too warm.

Do you need layers in the Spring where you live?

❤️Follow for more Spring layer Outfits…. I have several style, color and on trend. While classic looks coming your way….

This Chapter…. My Melanoma Cancer Journey Shari This Chapter….
My Melanoma Cancer Journey

Sharing my journey this far…Today, is 3 week post surgery.

Being told you have cancer is a roller coaster of emotions…
This is a journey none of us think you’re going to head down.

You can choose so many different paths to let your brain and emotions go…

I choose to give it to God, and to ask for your prayers, along with following my heart.

I knew I needed to stay positive and trust the process.
(Did I have scary thoughts and some tears, YES, Yes I did)
But, honesty it wasn’t long.

Once I gave it over, and trusted him and the process, along with asking for your prayers.

I was at complete peace. Thank you for all my prayer warriors, I know I got the results I did because of you and your prayers.

I’ve been told, I am strong, a warrior and so brave for sharing my journey.
Honestly, I truly don’t feel that way at all, I fell like it’s a process to share, to help others and to help it not feel as scary!

I didn’t know what to expect, didn’t know what having my face cut up, or knowing what any of the processes or procedures were (I would have loved to have known…)

If I was going through this and these emotions, so were others.

My hope in sharing the journey, would help others to know the importance of getting your skin checked.
In knowing the processes, and knowing we can do scary things, and we can get through them.

They say it takes a village to raise kids, but it also takes a village & prayers to get through life.🙏🏻

Thank you for all your support, love, prayers, DMs and messages of support.
I couldn’t have done it without all of you🙏🏻

Tomorrow is my first laser🙏🏻💪🏻
I’ll share who that goes in stories tomorrow 😉

⚠️Please note Melanoma is a very aggressive Skin cancer and is very different than other “skin cancers” I explained more about this in my prior lives.

⚠️Share this post, if you know someone going through melanoma ⚠️
