Every season we see a few new trends come into play, and it’s always fun to add a couple of these trends to your wardrobe that can give your classic pieces a fresh new look.

Button up

Yes, a great button-up is always a classic wardrobe staple. But think about an oversized gauze button-up in excellent Fall color. This oversized button-up makes a great piece worn alone with jeans but is a perfect (3rd piece) statement layer worn open over a bodysuit. 

Trending Pants

While we’re seeing every style of jeans/pants in fashion right now, here are a few that are having a moment.

Faux leather-

Leather is traditionally a textile for Fall and winter, But it is coming in strong this year, showing up not only in jackets but in every style of pants. From skinny, wide leg crop, straight leg, and bow waisted. 

  Great for adding texture to your wardrobe and easy to style. Pair with Denim, classic button-up, plaid, a blazer, or even a cardigan depending on the style you want to achieve.

Let’s Talk Trending Jeans:

The wide leg– wide-leg lengthens your legs, accentuates your waistline, and shows off all your curves, making it an incredibly flattering silhouette on bodies of all shapes and sizes.

A flared leg– Universally flattering, flared jeans come in numerous iterations, including high, mid, and low rise waists – regardless of body type, there’s a pair that will work for you. The wider hemline helps to balance out pear shapes, larger busts, and wide shoulders, as well as drawing the eye down and away from your middle.

Slim straight leg-These always-right jeans lay the groundwork for great style with a classic, clean-cut fit.

What To Wear, When Transitioning From Summer To Fall

Indio and Green

Straight-leg jeans are the more laid-back, less body-conscious cousin of skinny jeans. If you do not love skin-tight jeans, try straight jeans instead. Hourglass, apple, and athletic shapes will all rock a straight leg with style and grace.

Skinny jeans– while they aren’t trending, they still have a place in our closet. This is a jean that works with the Tall boots and the trending western boots, plus balances the oversized western cardigans and even blazers.

The Cropped Cardigan

It pairs well with high-waisted pants, mid-rise, and flared styles. The cropped sweater, cardigan, and jackets add balance to this pants style! 

I like the hip-length style for my shape as I don’t have a waist and am more straight up and down and hide a touch of tummy. If you want to accentuate your waist, purchase a cropped piece that is more tapered versus boxy.

Western Vibe/ Yellowstone trend:

The western vibe has been inching its way into Fall fashion for a couple of seasons, and this year it’s here in a BIG way. The look of the west is here, and I am all about it✔️ Today, I am sharing a couple of pairs of Boots. A cowboy pair and a tall western inspired

The Western Boots:

We’re seeing western-inspired boots and cowboy boots everywhere, and they’re being styled with dresses & skirts and flares and skinny-to-skies with cropped pants. 

Tall western boots can be worn with Skinny jeans, leggings, and dresses and skirts. 

White Cowboy style boots can also be worn with the above but work great under a flared and some straight-leg jeans.

Western-inspired booties are also all the rage and can be worn with cropped pants, dresses and skirts, and jeans as long as there are about 1 1/2 inches of space between the boot and hem.

Western-inspired Cardigans:

I love the Aztec/ western vibe of the oversized cardigan and sweaters of the season. A great warm and cozy mountain vibe with a little fresh update. Worn great with your skinny jeans and tall boots for balance. Yet, looks comfy with your straight-leg jeans or worn over a shirt dress.

It seems as if September is flying by; we are seeing a glimmer of Fall weather here and there in Utah, but we still have the High 80s and low 90s, which makes wearing Fall sweaters and layers a little HOT! 🙂 Today, I thought I would share a few tips with you to get that fall vibe without the heat. Try using Color… Fall transition doesn’t mean you have to add layers. It could be as simple as changing your color pallet✔️

 

Here I am wearing an oversized Gauze button-up by @petalandpup. It’s a perfect shade of Spiced Rust, paired with Cropped Mothers jeans, a pair of sandal clogs, and a Spiced Rust Felt hat🍂🍁

A Fall feeling… but the top breaths and is lightweight, cropped jeans, and open-toe shoes… easy to wear on an Indian summer day, yet gives the “feel” we want in the FALL months🍂🍁

Style Tip:

Pull out your Fall colored clothing….Shades of cream, tans, browns, pumpkins, golden yellow, mustard, Rust, merlot, and plum. You’ll be surprised at what you can create for Fall from the Color you are ready to own.

Style Tip for Fall:

Most of us can’t wait to layer up in the Fall… but temperatures aren’t complying🍁🍂 So, add on Fall accessories! Change your sandal for a bootie or mule with a felt hat, a suede, or a leather bag. Easy to do and doesn’t add heat🔥

Whether you’re a big fall decorator or just want to add a little bit of fall decor to warm up your space. 
A dough bowl is a great way to add decor for every season, on your kitchen island, dining room table, coffee table, or even entry table. 
Makes a great anchor, for seasonal items.
I love fall and I love to decorate. One of my favorite items to style is a dough bowl. Here are a few tips that can help you create a Fall display with ease.

Fall decorating is can be so fun and actually really easy with these easy tips.

Tip 1

Keep it simple, using a Dough Bowl Makes a great anchor for your collections for any season. They come in several sizes to fit in many places. 
A dough bowl is a great way to add decor for every season, on your kitchen island, dining room table, Coffee table, or even entry table. 
Makes a great anchor, for seasonal items. Easy to change them according to the time of year.
 

Tip 2

Work in odd numbers, an interior design trick is to work in odd numbers, 3,5,7, etc. This adds balance and helps create clusters that work to keep the eye wandering along with interest.  

Tip 3 

Use items you love, use a variety of items in different textures and materials. Use different sizes and heights. This not only adds interest but keeps your display from being flat.

The cooler mornings and evenings, the smell of the air, and the changing of the leaves are just a few things I am looking forward to. Hoping your week is going well. I came off a fantastic trip with my mom and sister to deal with some significant family and home issues, and I feel a little overwhelmed and sad. Knowing we all have things to deal with, sometimes it feels like when it rains, it pours. I know we have to put all our faith and trust in God in times like these. (If you are a prayer warrior, we could sure use them)

When you have a career in social media, everything always seems to be perfect, and I think it’s important to share real life. I believe that is what sharing and being transparent is about. I always try to be positive and smile, but that is who I am. Even when the world around you seems to be crashing, you can always find the good. So remember when life seems complicated (we all have those periods), and it could always be worse. 

With that being said, that might be why you don’t see me personally poping into stories as often. Just know I appreciate you. Thank you for being in my tribe and for your love and support. Think of all the ways you could wear each part and how you can mix and match them. Clogs are a big fall trend, and the cardigan is super soft, has pockets, and makes for a great layering piece.

Another cardigan for fall layering is grey-washed skinny jeans without any distressing, a graphic tee, quilted slip-on tennis shoes, and a faux leather backpack. This look is great for many occasions, Saturday style, back-to-school, and casual coffee dates. Mix and match these pieces all season long.

Look 3 is a great comfy travel outfit, casual sports outfit, or easy lounge outfit. Comfortable sweat pants that come in several colors, oversized, so size down. Paired with a rocker graphic tee and a left-open button, add a styling element. I 3 dressing in odd numbers, just like in designs 3,5 and 7, adds interest and dresses up the outfit a touch. ( not that sweats and a tee are dressy, the button-up adds an extra element.)

(more on that later) I hope you are tuning into my Instagram stories to travel with us. While I didn’t join in on the Chat on Chit Chat Chic, they talked about all things hair. I thought I would chime in here and share my picks. 7 Must Have Hair Care & Styling Tools.

Some of my biggest questions asked is how I do my hair and what I use. below, I am sharing a quick round-up of my hair care products, tools, and styling items I love. Hoping I can answer some of your questions in the process. Note: I share how I style my hair and ways to do a couple of my go-to looks over on my Instagram on reels, and the Highlight Tap Hair do’s.   1. T3 Hair Dryer-Want that professional blowout look? Need your hair to dry fast? Then this is your hair dryer. 

  2. Braided Hair Piece– I love this easy-to-wear headband. So easy to use and adds detail to your hair fast. I love it with a ponytail but looks great with your hair down and a couple of pieces of hair pulled out around your face. Affordable at $

  3. T3 curling Iron-Need a Curling Iron that helps your hair stay curled? This one does the trick.

  4. Wet Hair Brush– The brush you have to use on damp hair to prevent damage. and untangle hair with easy LOVE

  5. Hair scrunches– Perfect for protecting your hair at night from damage. It also works great for a top knot to add bulk and create a bigger bun. 

  6. Dry Shampoo– Dry Bar Dry shampoo is my all-time favorite. It smells incredible and works to give your hair a fresh look without feeling gummy. The original is excellent for blonds. If you’re a brunette, get the dry shampoo for brunettes, as the original can leave a white residue. This also acts a little bit like a texture spray. 

  7. Kendra Hair Spray– I have finally found a hair spray that genuinely works on my silk straight hair to help hold a curl. It’s worth every penny. 

  8. Hair Bands-These little clear hair ties are great for braids. Also, bubble hair do’s and half-up hair styling. I also love these to wrap up my holiday ribbons and keep cords wound up. 

  9. Navy Texturing Spray-I didn’t start using a texturing spray until a couple of years ago, not realizing this also helps with the body and does work to help keep your hair to hold a style. For me, it helps my hair to hold a curl. I have to do a lot to help my natural silky straight hair! In my book, it’s a must-have product.

Hello Pretty Ladies,

This is my easy and oh so delicious Avocado toast recipe. Fun Fact: I was not too fond of avocados until a couple of years ago. I was not too fond of the texture. Now, I eat one every day and could eat this Toast every day! I am not going to chat today. I am just getting to the recipe!

Easy Avocado Toast Recipe

Avocado Toast Recipe:

You’ll need the following:

1 Avocado Cut up and mashed, seasoned with Everything bagel seasoning. 

2 slices of Toast buttered (We love sourdough)

1 Egg scrambled or cooked the way you liked. Salt and peppered! (I had a little shredded cheese on my Egg)

1 Farm fresh Tomato sliced and seasoned with Everything bagel seasoning

Easy Avocado Toast Recipe

Assemble: 

Make sure your Toast is toasted well. This helps the bread from getting soggy. I also like my Toast buttered. 

Once you have all of the above prep, Egg cooked, Toast toasted and buttered, Avocado cut mashed and seasoned, tomato sliced and seasoned. You assemble. 

I like to spread the Avocado first. This acts like glue for the Egg; add Egg, layer tomato, and sprinkle with a bit of extra bagel seasoning! 

That’s it! Taste fantastic and better than any restaurant Avocado toast! (I am sure the key is butter, everything bagel seasoning, and a farm-fresh tomato)
