Choosing the correct wardrobe basics for building a capsule or Spring wardrobe can be tricky for some people. So I thought I would help take the stress away and share my easy 14 essentials for building a Spring wardrobe capsule. These 14 pieces will help you create a beautiful and timeless Spring and Summer wardrobe. A bounce is these pieces make for a perfect and easy packing list for traveling light.

5. Linen pants = The perfect Summer pant would have to be linen pants. They say coastal, with a beachy feel. Styled with a tee/tank and denim jacket can take you from shopping to brunch. Effortless and chic for Spring. My favorite pairs are HERE|HERE

6. Bodysuit= Makes for a perfect layered look and no bulk. I love these bodysuits with built-in bras.

8. Button up chambray or White Gauze | Linen| Stripe = Perfect to wear over a dress, paired with shorts or linen pants. Worn open with bodysuit under or worn buttoned up 1/2 tucked in. You really can go wrong with a good button-up.

My mom made this Strawberry shortcake every Easter (and during Strawberry season growing up). It was always a favorite🍓🌿🍰 Now, I do the same for my family. I think your family will love this easy strawberry shortcake recipe as much as our family does. Easy recipe below:

Strawberry Shortcake Recipe:

You’ll love this easy Strawberry Shortcake recipe, and so will your family. It’s so easy and oh so good.

You’ll need:

-2 packs of strawberries (cut up into small slices)

-1 small basket of strawberries washed and the tops removed (for garnish). I like a sprig of mint too.

-1 cup of sugar

-pound cake, angel food cake, or fruit snack cake cups (we like the cake cups or Pound cakes.)

In a large bowl, add cut-up strawberries and sugar, let sit to get juicy, then with a masher, smash up strawberries into a mixture of chunky strawberries & juice.

Homemade whipping cream:

-Heavy whipping cream (Cold) (depends on how many I am serving to what size pint, quart)

-Powdered sugar

Whip heavy cream with a mixer until stiff peaks, and slowly add powdered sugar until the sweetness you like. ( we like a little sweet, not too sweet)

Assemble Strawberry Shortcake:

Take a cake, layer the strawberry juice and a dollop of Whip cream and then layer a cake and repeat strawberries and top with whip cream and garnish with a couple of large berries and mint. Enjoy.

Hello Pretty Ladies,

I am sharing my love for Anthropologie, Neutrals, and my Good friend Shauna from Chic over 50 today on the blog. Shauna and I both love Anthro, yet we couldn’t be so different, she loves a lot of colors, and I love neutrals, she petite and I am tall. We thought it would be fun to take two pieces, a chambray top and a pair of Mother’s jeans, and style them two ways… Her way and My way and on two different body types. (for size reference, Shauna is 5’1.5″. Size 0-2, I am 5’9.5″ and 6/8)

Sharing the pieces on two different body types gives you a better vision of what it could look like on you. Both pieces look great in different heights and sizes. Plus, it gives you the style inspiration in 2 ways. So fun, right?

The other night on our Chit chat chic Live, we had a fun “show and tell ” 5 Spring Questions: we’ve got Favorites For! And We thought it would make for a great blog post, with all the information and products shared. So, below is a recap of what we shared in case you missed it or needed a refresh. 1. Share a trendy accessory you’re loving right now.

Accessories are a big LOVE for me. They really do finish off an outfit and show your personality. I love a big statement ring, Arm Candy has always been a favorite, and this is 2 of my daily arm Stacks lately …My go-to earrings are always hoops… Classic, work with every hairdo, and really never go out of style. I tend to purchase from Kendra Scott, Uncommon James, Gorjana. I also have several Micheal Kor’s. As I love the quality and they always have great styles.

The ring finger is a 24-carat gold ring from Cartier ( I linked an affordable similar ring ) middle is Tiffany, the pointer is Kedra Scott on my wrist is a Diamond Tennis bracelet, layered with a Kendra Scott, and MiGnon Faget bracelet.

Below are my go-to Hoops, which I repeatedly wear, with the beaded ones above my latest obsession…I have in Cream and just ordered the white.

2. What spring/summer sandal style will you wear (or are you already)?

Can I say, “I love Sandal season!” I don’t think you could ever have too many pairs! So, with that said! I will share what I’ve purchased this year, what I’ve been already wearing to Death, and the classic sandals I wear every year and add a new color to the mix.

Below are the styles I’ve already purchased and worn to death these last two months already.

The Miller Sandal by Tory Burch is an all-time classic and truly looks great with everything all Spring and Summer. But, if I were only to buy one sandal all year, I’d pick these. (I purchased my first pair in black leather over 8-9 years ago.) I believe (when they first came out) and have since added White, red, and natural.

: Summer linen is one of my favorite things and clearly yours too. You guys purchased a ton of these pants, and I wasn’t surprised because they are one of my favorite things, easy to style and were on SALE.

3. What’s your favorite retail store currently? And why?

This question truly is hard… because it depends on what you are looking for. So I am turning it around to where I’ve been shopping lately and what I have purchased!

–Loft= The BEST joggers I wear on repeat and a denim mini skirt I love so much I bought it two years in a row🤦🏼‍♀️

–Target= Like you, I am sure I shop at Target weekly for anything from Food to clothing and home goods. A Target trip brings me joy♥️ But Honestly, Target has been a real miss for me lately on the clothing… Here are a few things I did pick up on the Home goods side that brought me joy.

4. What do you like to wear to sleep in?

Cami and short sets are my go too. I love a chemise and, on occasion, a PJ pant set, but it has to be super soft, and I do like the cool nights by Soma. I am very tactile and like my pj’s to be very soft, including lace. And I really like a cami-style strap.

From Ball caps, beanies to Felt and straw! I will definitely spend good money on a high-quality hat, but that doesn’t mean I won’t grab an affordable, trendy one.

Tartan Plaid is so festive and says Holiday without actually saying Holiday! I love you can wear plaid all Fall and Winter but come Holiday time. It is instantly positive. Here are a few of my picks for the season.

New Fall Try-on at Evereve

New Fall try-on at Evereve. There is something about Fall Clothing that always has me wanting more. The Layers, cozy sweaters, fun boots, and cute jackets. It’s a season I can’t resist adding more pieces to my collection. Evereve gets new arrivals daily, and I love the brands they carry. FALL is here🍁🍂 I shared a try-on Haul video a couple of weeks ago over on Instagram…With the latest Fall Arrivals from @evereveofficial 🖤 @shopatstationpark, It was a huge hit. So realizing, I should share it on the blog for those of you that like to view content and all the shopping details in one spot. Pumpkin turtle neck sweater fits true to size ( I am in Med) paired with my new favorite Kut from Kloth Catherine Boyfriend jeans (I wore these with all the tops and jackets below). Yes, they came home with me along with the sweater, and I might be wearing the jeans several times a week!:). Jeans are also true to size, a straight leg, midrise, and super comfortable.

Here is the perfect sweater for fall! Reminds me of Indian corn candy. It’s cozy, true to size, great with any style of jeans, cute with denim or corduroy pencil skirt. This is a sweater that you’ll wear for many Fall seasons to come. (I am in med)

I always love a good striped tee, and this long sleeve tee with little detail at the neck is so soft, you’ll want it in a couple of colors. It fits true to size, can be worn alone or layered. I paired it with the camo shirt unbuttoned and another look with the reversible baseball jacket that is really on-trend this Fall. Both outfits I paired with my all-time favorite sneaker. (This is the coolest sneaker and one of my best-selling items.)
