Fall Bucket List 12 Must Do Fall Activities

Hello Beautiful’s! You know how much I love Fall (it’s going to be my Birthday month!) and how much I love to do & enjoy all things Fall! So I thought it would be fun to do a Fall bucket list to share with you, since you loved my Winter bucket list last year (If you missed that check it out here!). I hope it inspires you to get in the spirt of the season and check a couple things off the list as well! OX

PUMPKIN PATCH – Well of course, an annual event around year! Even if my kids are big and over it! I still drag them out for a family day (normally it’s bribed with food). I always have a large assortment of pumpkins on our porch, steps and entryway. So this is a great time to have everyone pick a verity and help decorate!
HAUNTED HOUSE– A perfect date with the family, my boys will be really into this! I haven’t been to one since high school, so wish me luck!
A day in front of a fire with a cozy blanket, a cup of tea, a candle burning and a great book!
Go on an OUTDOOR HIKE, where the colors are stunning and the air is crisp!
Go to a COLLAGE FOOTBALL game! We have to go support Auston Tesch #53 for Weber state at least once a year! It’s always fun and last year my mom was here to go support him too!
Take a FALL DRIVE where the leaves are in full glory. I love grabbing a warm drink and taking a drive with my hubby to see the color’s. It’s fun to grab a meal out and make it a date. When we lived in California, we would go with the entire family,(my mom & my sister) to Oak Glen and pick apples, boy do I miss those days.
Make a HOMEMADE PIE, I haven’t made a pie from scratch in a few years. I used to love making apple pies, when we had so many apple trees in California! (I need to plant a couple apple trees)
JUMP INTO A PILE OF LEAVES and get a cute picture! I will wait for my boys to rake all the leaves up! hehe
Make a big POT OF CHILI (my veggie chili recipe is below) and watch Hocus Pocus! I mean what is fall without watching Hocus Pocus at least 10 times!
Create a FALL WARDROBE CAPSULE, these wardrobe capsules have been all the rage, (have you heard of them?) with fall being most peoples favorite time to shop, it’s a great time to create one for you. Help yourself to get inspiration and pick out classic pieces to build your wardrobe for Fall.
Spend the WEEKEND with GIRLFRIENDS in PJ’S watching HALLMARK MOVIES. Of course we’ll do face mask, drink wine and eat all kinds of yummy food! Who’s ready for a sleep over?
Enjoy a FIRE ON THE DECK making s’mores, under cozy blankets enjoying the crisp fall air! I will be decorating my back deck for fall this year! Unfortunately it’s a short season here in Utah, So I have never decorated the back deck for fall. This year we are going too spend more time wrapped in blankets enjoying the crisp air.

My Easy Veggie Chili Recipe: (slow cooker) So easy you’ll make it a ton!

1 large can of chili beans and sauce

1 can each of pinto, kidney, red beans drained and rinsed

1 large can of tomato sauce

1 can of crushed tomatoes

1 cup of water

1 each of a red, yellow, green bell peppers, washed and chopped

1 large onion chopped and browned

4 cloves of garlic chopped browned

1 tablespoon of butter (for browning onion and garlic)

1 tablespoon of chili powder

1 tablespoon of onion salt

1 tablespoon of kitchen bouquet (browning seasoning)

1/2 teaspoon of salt and pepper

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

crushed red pepper seasoning to taste

shredded cheese (for topping)

Brown the onions and garlic in the butter, then add everything (except cheese) into the crockpot on low in the morning and come home to a yummy meal! You can brown turkey or meat of choice with a chili seasoning packet and add that, but you’ll need another can of tomato sauce. Serve with corn bread, fritos or soda crackers!

Extra toppings optional: sour cream, green onions, hot sauce I hope you try it and let me know what you think. It’s a family favorite around here!

I am having Spring fever with all this rain and grey skies in Utah, I thought I would also share my latest “ready for Spring outfit” a fresh floral look I wore over the weekend and had tons of compliments on my jacket (that is over 20 years old!) It looks new because I really do only wear it a couple times every spring…It just screams SPRING with it’s bright colors and helps cure the blues! The colors make me happy and the large flowers reminds me of the 70’s which takes me back to my childhood! I really think you should buy clothing that speaks to you and if it brings back a memory even better! Are you guy’s getting Spring fever or Spring cleaning? I started Spring cleaning over the weekend as well as organizing to get ready to sell our home to down size (I shared some of my organizing in my instagram stories view in highlights) This is the longest we have lived in a house (12 years) in our 25 years together and we decided now is the time to sell and build our dream smaller house (I already started sketching) …. Just in time for Spring cleaning! Oh…the stuff I have collected over the last 12 years not to mention having owned 3 clothing stores….My props and seasonal items are out of control! So needless to say I have been working like crazy cleaning out, donating, organizing and down scaling (I’ll make sure to do a post on the whole house and every room before I de -personalize it)….I know some of you are saying “didn’t you just build your DREAM kitchen?” Yes..Yes I did and it took me years…and the counter tops go in a few day’s and I will share with you the finished product! It really is beautiful and I will miss not being able to enjoy it….sometimes that’s just the way live goes. Great things are always worth the wait!

As they say Spring is a fresh start….BOY are we getting them…. exciting things happening…..Our oldest is graduating college, I am starting a new career and we’re selling our home! Good things happen in 3’s:) I did have to keep telling my self this a couple of months ago when bad thing’s happened in 3’s & happing in our life… Every time I turned around something big was breaking…I would remind myself “good things are happening, good things are happening!” Stay positive in the mist of a storm! It’s hard to do a lot of the time, I just kept putting my faith in God and knowing he was putting us on the right path. Boy..Sometimes his timing just takes sooo long:) So as I sit here rambling on, know what ever is happening in your live good or bad there’s always a fresh path or a “Spring” start no matter the season.

5 Way’s to wear Camo pants

Today I want to share a couple of fun tips with you!

Styling a pair of Camo pant’s 5 ways and different looks you can achieve with Camo pant’s, from casual to dressy. I love it when you can get different looks from one piece of clothing and I often tell my clients to think of more then one way to wear a piece of clothing before they purchase it. This really does help with over purchasing and finding piece you’ll get a lot of use out of.

Tips to camo….. First off you don’t have to stick to its Olive & black color theme. In the first photo I did a playful outfit with a colorful fur vest! (that $8 deal I told you about in instastory!) The trick to this look is I anchored the bold vest with neutral black turtleneck and boots. The other tip is the vest had 2 of the colors in it as the camo, olive and black! This helps 2 patterns to play together.

2nd outfit giving camo pants a dressier feel! Camo has a bit of a casual and weekend feel, but you can dress it up like I did here with pairing it with a chic black leather jacket, black turtle neck or sweater, and fun accessories and classic shoes.

3rd outfit is a great Winter weekend or casual outfit. Stripes with camo works when the stripe is bolder and has 1 color of the camo in it. In this case it’s a bold Black stripe. Paired with Winter accessories this gives a fun and playful vibe.

4th outfit is a fun way to add some Spring to your camo pants. I paired with a gingham off the shoulder top and an olive duster vest. The solid olive duster vest is what grounds the two patterns. Wearing the gingham and camo together only, you wouldn’t achieve the same look. Don’t have a olive duster? Think Olive jacket, vest or cardigan.

5th outfit is casual and piece’s everyone owns! Denim jacket, saying tee, Tennis shoes. Great look for a sports game, running kids around or shopping. This is a look that you can easily achieve and what makes it fun is the bold cuff bracelet.

A lot of these pieces are old and sold out but I am linking some similar pieces below along with some great sale items and SALES. Look in your closet and see what you have to try and copy one of the looks (or ALL)….Doesn’t have to be exact, Fashion is fun so play around with it.

A movement encouraging women to wear red to show their solidarity with the movement “The day without woman” normally International woman’s day is represented with color’s of White, green & purple. It’s so important to have good girlfriends they make a great support team and even more important to spend some girl time with them…A little time away from your your family I believe makes you a better mom and wife. A little time for yourself is a much needed little break and what better way then with a good girlfriend!

Day to Night Affordable Metallic outfit Idea

Seeing Stars and loving all this seasons’s metallic’s. Kut from the Kloth Jeans & Star sweater on SALE for $24, Tassel earrings Nordstrom ombre sold out so I linked the Solid colors.

I love that you can use this outfit day or night and that it really can be causal simply because it’s a Sweater & Jeans. Change out the Shoes and accessories to simple studded earrings and converse or bootie and you have a casual look. Looks that can change from day to night with just swapping out a couple of pieces makes going from work to dinner with ease.

If you have been following me for awhile you know I am a big fan of Kut from the Kloth jeans. I love how they fit so when they come out with a new wash (this Metallic) or body style I am always up to grab a pair! The fabric is stretchy and the metallic gives them some glam.

Way’s you can try the metallic trend without breaking the bank…..

The metallic’s this season add a playfulness that any age can wear without being over the top. Really who doesn’t want a little sparkle! Not sure how you feel about metallic’s? If you notice I rarely have on a basic pair of shoes….Shoes can finish the outfit or Make your outfit pop! Next time you go shoe shopping… Pick the color over black or grab a print! Make a statement! Happy New Year….Bringing in 2018 Outfit

New Years eve outfit using my hubby’s velvet tuxedo jacket!

Happy New Year!

Wishing you all the best in 2018 with many blessing’s and I hope you can make ALL your dreams come true.

I wanted to share with you a fun little outfit I created for New year’s with my favorite item from my Hubby’s closet! He’s velvet tuxedo jacket (Jcrew)…Although it’s a little big it works! It adds balances with having tight bottoms. I paired it with a fun sequins tank top (old), black jeggings by Kut from the Kloth, metallic rose gold Clutch similar here and New Years worthy shoes by Badgley Mischka similar here.

I love thinking outside the box when it comes to creating a outfit and who say’s everything has to be new! Go dig in your hubby’s closet & see what you could barrow to dress up. I also like to search through my closet and find pieces I haven’t worn in awhile and create an outfit from that piece. In this case I found this cute cream sequined tank top. It’s amazing what can get “LOST” in your closet!

I don’t know about you but I really do like to stay home for New Year’s eve. (every once in awhile it’s fun to go to a party) Growing up it was Tradition to get into Pj’s, cousins came over to play games & watch movies and my mom made a appetizer dinner for snacking all night and we tried to stay up for the ball drop. Having this kind of night with my family is relaxing after all the hustle of the Holiday’s. What’s your New year’s tradition?
