One Color That Works With Every Outfit

Hello, pretty Ladies,

I hope you enjoyed your Holiday weekend. We had a great weekend at home, with beautiful weather. We worked in our yard and had a BBQ with the kids. I am so grateful for those who have served and have served this great country and some who have made the greatest sacrifices. I feel blessed to come from a long line of those who have served; we are so proud of them. And that we have a day to remember & celebrate our military.

With Memorial Day over, we are kicking off the Summer season, including longer days, warmer weather, outdoor social events, and travel. If you’re like me, you can’t wait to soak it all up.

I am doing a blog hop with my three blogger friends, Dawn, Cindy, and Suzanne, sharing Summer. The theme was anything summer-related, so check out their blog posts today to see what they shared. I have their blogs linked at the end of this post.

Today, I am Sharing One color that works with every outfit: (Cognac, Saddle Brown, or Caramel. There are three names for one color.) It’s a timeless, elegant, and sophisticated color—a true classic. It also works in every season, and summer is one of my favorites.

What should I purchase in this color?

Accessories Are the best place to use this color. Invest in a great handbag. I love this Vegan Tote. I’ve had it for three years and am happy it’s still available. It is my best seller and matches my Tory Burch Miller sandals perfectly. That said, you need a great pair of shoes in the same color. And a belt. I found this pair of Sandals in a major sale.

They help elevate and add polish to your simplest t-shirt and denim, creating a quiet luxury look. Summer Style & Trend

This summer season, accessories made from raffia straw are on trend. Several have been mixed with trim or details in Cognac leather, making for the ultimate summer accessories. I just ordered this Hobo bag by Eric Javits. It’s a classic shape with the perfect intricate crochet raffia straw and Napa leather binding and handles. I found a similar feel but in a classic tote style HERE for a more affordable option, and this Classic Summer tote is another affordable-price point option.

The raffia straw trend, which we see in everything from Earrings to belts, sandals, and bags, is another excellent option for adding a summer flair to your look while working with pieces you might already own in your closet. This is a great and affordable way to update your wardrobe without spending much money. Adding the Cognac trim to the raffia just elevates the acessorires. Happy New Week! I hope you had a great weekend. It was beautiful here in Utah. Today, I am sharing a quick and easy outfit to inspire you. A Perfectly Polished Chic Cuffed Jean Outfit: Cuff jeans are all the rage, and they are a style you can wear casually or elevate to a great Chic outfit.

I’ve always loved a cuffed jean. It’s an excellent trick for tall girls whose jeans are always too short. Add a little folded-up cuff to those short jeans, and the problem will be fixed! A cuff is also always cute on a loose boyfriend-style jean.

Today, I’m sharing a Chic way to wear them with a little Parisian vibe. You could easily copy this look by shopping your closet for items like this: a double-breasted blazer, a mock-neck cap sleeve sweater, straight-leg jeans in a medium to dark wash that you could cuff, a great pair of loafers, and gold jewelry.

Today’s outfit is perfect for March, with some green and gold. It’s also perfect for Spring in Utah. Spanx high-waisted wide-leg denim is paired with a Spanx long-sleeve white bodysuit and is form-fitting to balance out the wide-leg pants. The “3rd” piece is this excellent cropped faux fur green jacket that hits at the hip bone and balances the wide pant leg. Pulling this whole look together are the accessories. It’s the last week in February, and we’re getting closer to Spring! This has me excited for warmer weather, sunshine, and Spring clothing. Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll be sharing all things Spring, from Spring wardrobe basics, Spring Trends, Spring dresses, Shoes & Bags, Vacation looks, Spring Makeup, Spring sweaters, Spring denim, and what I’ll be wearing as well as what I purchased.

Trends to be looking for

Trending items in fashion for 2024. has a little elegance, and you’ll see things dressed up with attention to detail. I also love the hint of romance that is coming, such as floral accessories; bye to Barbie Core, and welcome to Ballet Core. (think tulle and ribbons & and bows.) Metallic comes in more substantial, denim is on Denim, and leopard print is making a splash again. We’ll also see a lot more elevated basics versus less athleisure.

Colors and Fabric for Spring 2024

You will see richer hues and less pink. More Reds, Cornflower, navy, cobalt blue, shades of butter & sunshine yellow, and pretty greens from Olive to seafoam. As far as prints are concerned, leopards and stripes are taking the stage, and spring florals are taking a back seat. This is not to say you won’t see florals in the spring, but there will be less than in prior years. Stripes are coming in hot, perfect for the coastal vibe. Denim on Denim is a classic in my book, but we see it in accessories this spring as well.

Hello, Pretty ladies,

I hope you had a great holiday weekend and that you got to enjoy an extra day of today. Unfortunately, it snowed all weekend and messed up Ben and I’s date night. We had to reschedule it for a day that had better weather as we were headed to Salt Lake and didn’t want to drive in a snowstorm.

Our weekend was still an entire house project, and I was also trying to accomplish the work I needed to finish on my blog, Amazon storefront, and Liketoknow. I need more hours in the day.

Today, I must have been feeling a little French-inspired or channeling my inner Coco Chanel with my outfit. I am sharing outfit details on spring trends that I think you’ll love and enjoy wearing in multiple ways this season. Today is just one look, but I’ll be styling these pieces multiple over the next few weeks.

Today’s outfit combines trending stripes and wide-leg, high-waisted indigo denim, also trending for spring. This cute trending Lady’s Jacket is a fun Amazon find and affordable yet looks higher quality inspired by Chanel and is a cheaper version of the Jcrew version. The shorter length is flattering paired with high-rise, wide-leg denim. These flattering jeans and White Bodysuit are a “Best Seller” by Spanx.

The accessories here are classic pieces yet very much on trend for spring. A flower-detail pin looks designer and has a channel vibe. A simple, traditional thin belt with a gold buckle and platform loafers add to this chic look, as do a great Hobo satchel/tote. I am finishing with gold jewelry to match the gold buttons on the jacket.
