Friday Favorites And Weekend Sales #12

Hello Pretty Ladies,

Hoping you had a great week, and that you’ll have a great weekend. I am headed back to California, to my hometown for a celebration of the life of a great man who will be dearly missed, my oldest and dearest friend’s dad passed away, and we are going to celebrate him and the incredible life he lived. I stopped along the way to pick up my mom and will head over the rest of the way together. So, needless to say, a bittersweet homecoming for sure.

I am however excited to hug my girlfriend’s neck and spend time with her, and give her support in these times. It’s a treasure to have a childhood friend since you were 10 years old, it’s a different kind of bond and friendship. If you know, you know:)

9 Fall trends you can wear at any age

Get your wardrobe ready with this Fall edit of the new season’s trends I’ve spotted. From sophisticated Modern Prep, to cool Biker Chic and versatile Denim Remix, They’re real trends for real life, curated just for you. Fall trends you can wear at any age.

Get your wardrobe ready with this Fall edit of the new season’s trends.

Cargo pants – sharing a fun twist with the Satin cargo pants. Great to dress up with a festive top and sparkling jewelry for date night or cocktails.

Coated jeans – are a must from metallic to faux leather, easy to style with a button-up top, or a sweater, or layer them both and add a blazer. Festive for the upcoming holidays as well.

Denim on Denim – layering denim pieces for a chic, easy Fall outfit. Denim on denim makes a great basic outfit, And you can change its look of by adding a 3rd piece….

TIP: A great 3rd piece could be… a blazer, cargo jacket, Leather jacket a sweater cardigan. The possibilities are endless✔️ Add some texture and pattern with your accessories. Below I added faux calf hair leopard print loafers and a pop of metallic gold with the clutch.

The rich bold color of Red – from Red clothing to a pop of red with accessories. This color is coming in hot for Fall and looks great paired with cream and brown tones.

Tip: red looks good on everyone, just find the right shade that will work on your skin tone. Picking the right Blue or orange undertones makes a big difference in your skin type

Wide-leg jeans & pants – If you only purchase 1 new Fall item, make it a pair of Wide-leg jeans. So flattering and versatile. Dress them up or wear them casually. Flattering on every body type. Just make sure to wear a tighter top to keep the look balanced. I love the Spanx wide-leg pants and flares. They fit great and flatter every figure. (shared below)

TIP: Make it fresh by adding in one of this season’s trends. Add a sweater over a slip dress or pair it with a blazer. Wear a boxy blazer over a turtleneck sweater dress, and maybe pair that corset over a turtleneck body suit and wear it with wide-leg pants.

Neutral color tones and fall plaids are always in season this time of the year. 🍂 Fall seasonal go-to’s like these Tartan plaids, turtlenecks, and layering Cardigans and blazers seem to always be on trend for fall.

I love that it mixes and matches all my gold jewelry, yet it also works with several turquoise pieces I own. This bracelet is pretty on its own, but I love a good arm stack, and it looks great with the bracelets I own from Miranda Frye.

I headed to my go-to shopping center, Station Park in Farmington, knowing I could find what I wanted to create the looks for this segment. Evereve, H&M, Old Navy, and Bohmn are where I headed this time.

Station Park has all your shopping needs, with a beautiful outdoor setting and something for everyone. Let’s not forget several restaurants so you can make a great outing.

Perfect for Easter

Whether you’re headed to Easter services, Brunch, the kid’s egg hunt, or dinner with family and friends, I’ve created some on-trend looks I think you’ll love and look great in at any age & stage in your life. You can wear these pieces all Spring and Summer to look and feel great. Watch the fun REEL I created

“Florals for spring are nothing new, here are a few Spring trends that are fresh and doesn’t evolve a large floral print.”

-Added a slight floral touch for a fresh look without screaming “Floral for Spring.”

My Model’s looks:

Cammi-Cornflower Blue Eleni Maxi coverage dress with pretty little bow details. It is paired with a pop of floral on the Cecelia New York shoes. And finish off the look with an ivory custom coastal clutch. A perfect look for Easter services, Brunch, and would be darling for A bridal shower.

Swap out pieces for a more casual or youthful look:

This dress could be worn in many ways: pull off the shoulders for a less modest way, or add a bunch of turquoise jewelry and cowboy boots for a boho vibe. So cute for festival and concert season.

Kjirstin -Modeling the pantsuit trend in this season’s fresh color trend sage. The Blazer & the Pant was paired with a slightly floral detailed top in sage and pink. Finish the look with the Quilted accessories trend in the shoes and bag. The final finishing touch is Pearl accessories.

The pantsuit is a great alternative to a dress. A fresh and chic look for Spring

Swap out pieces for a more casual or youthful look:

Change up the look, A younger person could swap out the top for a cropped top, and swap out the accessories for simpler pieces. Think simple platform sandals and a belt bag.

Myself– Wearing the Neutral color trend with the Twist on a Shirtdress, a mocha-colored high-low button-up dress. It was paired with a cute Cream cargo cropped jacket and Studded detail neutral sandals. For a bit of Pop of color, a hot pink bag.

Outfits on the Mannequins

1st Mannequin – Med length Denim Skirt, Eyelet top, and pretty bow detail heels. If you don’t love a denim skirt, pair it with Wide leg crops. Works for every age, as shown in the segment.

2nd Mannequin – Hot Pink and Orange – solid Ribbed Tank dress in Orange pairs with a solid Hot pink blazer, Accessorized with A darker orange braid bag for texture and a little pop. Hot Pink tassel earrings and finishing the look with a fun circle detailed, neutral sandal.

Change up for a more youthful look

This look could be worn at any age as well, but to look more youthful, you could add a denim jacket instead of a blazer, swap out sandals for tennis shoes or pass on a jacket and tie a denim shirt around the waist.

3rd Mannequin – A coastal look with a Navy striped ribbed sweater tank dress, Paired with a Navy blazer (Save 10% with code DARCY10) and accessorized with a Neutral Laser cutout bag and sandals. Finished off with a straw hat gives this look the perfect coastal vibe. Cutouts on bags and shoes are a great choice to wear the trend if you don’t feel comfortable wearing clothing with cutouts.

Change up The Look

-Here’s another look that could be worn at any age, but simply changing out a blazer for no jacket or a cargo or denim jacket and changing accessories to simple Converse tennis shoes and a belt bag, would create a more youthful look.

4th Mannequin -Pj Pant suit set, Oversized top & Pants. Easy, breezy, and Chic. Kelly Green is a hot color trend, and paired with black gives it a fun edge. Yet, still very Spring-like. Accessories help take this look from looking like pj’s to looking business chic. The black body suit keeps the eye clean and flattering. A lightweight wax-coated black jacket over the shoulders, gold bow detailed slides, and a black quilted bag with gold trim polish off the look.

Change up the look

Here you could opt to not were the button-up and only wear the bodysuit with the pants, and forgo any jacket. This look would also be just with a denim jacket and a simple sandal or Converse or Ked-type tennis shoe. Swap out a quilted bag for a crossbody bag.

Happy Friday, sharing a little weekly recap with “Friday Catch Up.” Are you ready for the weekend? I look forward to a girl’s day with my girlfriend and Saturday celebrating our son’s birthday.
