7 Fall Transition Looks From Evereve!

Fall Transition Looks with incorporating in some on-trend pieces for Fall 2021.

Let’s talk Evereve for a minute. Evereve is a contemporary woman’s fashion boutique geared towards moms and Midlifers who want to look Chic, feel good, and love good quality clothing. I personally love the brands they carry and how they fit. Talking about fit, Evereve has a personal stylist on hand to help you choose the right pieces for your body if that is something you want help with. Fall Transition= It’s that time of year when we start thinking Fall. The kids are heading back to school, which means school shopping and shorter days are approaching. Finally, we get a few cooler mornings & evenings, and Summer is coming to an end. I will share some fun ways to take some of your Summer pieces and transition them into a Fall look while incorporating some Fall 2021 on-trend pieces from EverEve.

Here are a few of this year’s trends. What’s even better is they are so easy to mix & match! I incorporated:

Camo (yes, it’s still strong as well as Stars)
Cargo Pants= Jogger Style and Skinny
Cropped Cardigans with big buttons (hip bone length)

Shacket (a shirt / Jacket) This year, it’s more fitted, not as bulky
Braided detail (shown on booties) (There are several more Fall Trends, and all share those soon in a post)

The Look above is a great casual chic look that’s easy to achieve using your Summer Camis and Denim Jacket. Worn with these darlings Camo Joggers and chunky New Balance Kicks. (I love the nubby details) STYLING TIP: Pulling the joggers up a bit makes it look weather appropriate and Chic! I can easily wear a graphic tee versus a camis.

In this look, I am wearing the same pieces as above, swapping out the denim jacket for this year’s on-trend cardigan. Note: The cardigan is hip length and has large buttons (you’ll be seeing this a lot). Adding the chunky chain mules instead of Kicks. This gives a less casual look to the joggers.

Another way to wear camo and cargo but in the skinny leg, very leg flattering if that’s one of your body features you like to focus on. (I do as my trouble area is my middle) paired with the mules again, but you could wear the Kicks if you wanted to. I liked the mules with the blazer, although blazers and tennis shoes are trending as well. Note: The Blazer is more fitted and has cute sleeve detail and collar.

Cargo loving again! This pair is a Satin finish skinny cargo, again leg flattering and very affordable. Wearing the same graphic tee, pulling out the denim jacket and the tennis shoes. Gives a totally new look, but your using your pieces multiple time. A great way to get versatility out of your clothing. Perfect pieces of packing for a trip! Shop the Look below:

Taking that Summer Tee shirt dress into Fall with Braided Booties and Shacket. The shacket has been trending for about 3 years and really came on strong last year! It was Oversized (a Jacket skirt combo) and normally bulkier. I love how this year, the trending Shacket is shorter and more fitted, a thicker flannel if you will. Shop the Look:

Days when it’s still warm enough for shorts, but you want a little cozy, Add a fun Cropped cardigan worn over a cami or tee, even wear it alone and buttoned up. (cardigans worn alone is trending) Paired with braided detail booties. It’s a fun Fall transition look. Shop the look:

Summer cropped jeans, give them a Fall update with Chunky Chain mules and a Printed leopard cardigan. So easy to wear and light enough layers, you won’t get too hot. Shop the Look:

What pieces Came home with me! Yup, I told you I never leave empty-handed! Actually, I own a version of almost all of these pieces. Like I said there easy to style, very versatile, and can be worn in many seasons. So why did I choose these 4 pieces to come home with me?

Shacket due to the new flattering styling, and I adored the color, not to mention I have a version of the dress. Joggers, I purchased the shorts and adored them all Summer, so I knew these Joggers would be a favorite. Free People gets me every time, and this chunky cropped cardigan was a piece I knew I would style on repeat. Finally, kicks…well, I am a sucker for shoes, and the details on these got me! The Joys of Midlife! I started noticing a change about 42. Not ever having a weight gain issue, I was slowly gaining about 5 LBS a year. ( no matter what I did, I couldn’t lose it) My energy wasn’t what it used to be, I wasn’t sleeping as well as I used too and my skin was so dry. ( I did not have hot flashes, and I still had a regular period)

I would ask my OBGYN to check my thyroid and hormones. (Which she said was fine) That I was experiencing the joys of aging. At 44, I wouldn’t say I liked that answer, I had gained 15-17 LBS that I couldn’t lose, and I knew my body… something was up.

Turning a long story short… As a result, I took the replacement therapy My Doctor prescribed for me at that time. Therefore within 3 months, my skin looked amazing, my energy was back, I was sleeping normally, and BEST of all, 12lbs came off without trying. 🎉

I did Whole30 that November and lost 16 more pounds and keep it off as a result.

Fast forward to covid… Hormone replacement scripts ran out, no bloodwork, and my Doctor moved. Lots of Family Cooking and a 49th Birthday… Therefore All the weight is back, and so are the Symptoms above.

As a result, I researched new Doctors and found Dr. Kat At Renewal. Her practice is in Salt Lake City, and I love her. Dr. Kat is who Prescribed the above plan. I’ve been retaking Hormone replacement for the last 20 days or so. Remember, Hormones take 30-90 days to start seeing results. I will give you an update in the future.

I truly do have so many things I love and find myself using to death or buying over and over, like the Slide sandals below or the only Bra I ever want to wear. But I also find myself always grabbing this straw hat and lately wearing this Pearl Jacket over and over again. I could have added about 10 more things! 🙂 But I kept it short and sweet for you today. HEHE

This look is perfect for Spring or Summer (remember I wore this for Easter.) I love a good Sun Dress and Fun on-trend accessories. But I am really here to Talk about this Hat and Hat Band. I love the shape of the hat; it works so well with many Spring and Summer looks. The band is sold separately HERE (Gucci but is affordable for Gucci). You can add it to any Hat or beanie, and it changes the whole look of the hat and outfit.

I own many hats and love all of them for several reasons ( I can get into that another time). I do, however, find myself grabbing this one several times a week because the shape is so good, it really does look good on every shape face, and as I stated above, it works with so many outfits. The Soma vanishing 360 bras are my all-time favorite bra. So comfortable you can wear all day long. I love it’s truly a vanishing bra, not visible under any shirt, let alone tee’s and tanks. One of the things I love about the season change is the NEW trends that can give your wardrobe a little refresh. It doesn’t mean you have to go out and purchases a whole new wardrobe. Here are a couple of subtle & easy Spring trends you can add to your Spring wardrobe…. Chunky Gold Chainlink details (shown on the bag) Pearls are ALL the rage this Spring (detail on the Sunglasses) Studded detail shown on the sandal. The Shirt Dress is making a big statement, and this one also incorporates the little western detail on the pockets. Let’s not forget about the middle part, Have been wearing a Middle part since I grew out my bangs several years ago. #5 The straight leg jean… Don’t worry; the Skinny jean isn’t gone! It’s just taking a back seat to the Straight leg jean. Here I am wearing the Straight-leg jean in a mid-rise and a frayed cropped hem. I prefer the mid-rise to the high rise, as it hit me better on my body as I don’t have a waist and my trouble area is my middle. In high-rise denim, you’ll need to go up a full size, and it really does shorten my already shorter torso. And let’s Talk REAL…I don’t love what a high rise does to my already flat butt:(!

All my height comes in my legs. I am 5’9 1/2 for reference and wear a size 6 to 8, depending on the jean. In this case, it’s the brand Level 99 denim, and these are a size 28 (let’s face it, my size also depends on my fluctuating weight of 10-15 pounds!) THANKS, Midlife, and menopause!

A couple of reasons it’s great to own a straight leg. They look great with the on-trend clog sandals. As skinny jeans could give you that elf effect 🙂 ( Insert Giggle), They really flatter the leg and add a longer leg appearance. And they look great with tops tucked in to show off your waist! Can I say, “Pull out your BELTS!”

When I say “favorite things,” I know some people think that word gets used too frequently, and “How could everything be your Favorite?” Well…I Like to think of it as Favorite’s right NOW because our favorites change, and better things come along. We also have tried and true favorite things (more as our staple favorites), so see, although the “FAVORITE Things” term can get overused, it still does have different meanings.

With that said, Welcome to 12 of MY Favorite Things right NOW, a series I will be doing monthly. Featuring ALL the things I am loving and using like crazy that I think you would like to know about. Think of it as your look into seasonal favorites, things that can make your life easier, pieces. You might wear the heck out of and that favorite product you might purchase over and over.

#1. Quilted Slide heels = This season’s must-have sandal goes with everything, and I seriously wear them multiple times a week.

#2. Maggie Jeans= My all-time favorite jean right now. I have these in white, black, and regular denim. Yes, I have 3 pairs, that’s how good they are. I love them, so easy to style, can be dressed up or down. I have several outfit inspirations on my Instagram. This is a mom pair of jeans with so much style; your daughter will want to barrow!

#3. ShadeM Lipstick =Seriously the best lip stains, 18 different colors to choose from. It’s none drying and stays on all day.

#4. Gigi Pip =The perfect straw hat. I purchased this last year, and I was so glad it was back for this season. Perfect shape and looks good with every sundress, shorts outfits, and swimsuits.

#5. Candle= I love candles year-round, and this one had the perfect Spring scent, Hibiscus Sangria, and the color is so pretty it will make a cute jar when the candle is burnt down. $14

#6. Tee shirt Maxi dress = This Tee shirt maxi dress with side ruffle detail is cute and comfy. I’ve been wearing it to death with my denim jacket and sandals. It is perfect for travel as it rolls up easily, easy to style, and is worn with so many shoe styles. I may have to purchase in another color. $44

#7. Tula Spray =You know I love Tula products, and I use many from their line, but this Spray is perfect to perk up after a long day. Great for setting your makeup, perfect for traveling (airplanes are so drying), and I love taking it poolside for a little cooldown. I have a bottle in my bag, in my beauty fridge, and my travel bag.

#8. Tula 24/7 = This Tula 24/7 moisturizer is a must for dry skin. I use this every morning on my face and neck, and it really helps keep my face moisturized all day long. I was so happy it came in the travel pack too. HERE

#9. Tarte = Tarte beauty products are newer to me, as people raved about a couple of products. I need to go check out their site, and when I found this Matte eye shadow compact, I was so excited. As you age, it’s important not to wear glitters as they can show wrinkles more. It’s tough to find a shadow pack that doesn’t have glitters in it. THIS one is completely MATTE. No glitter. LOVE LOVE. ( I did purchase several items from Tarte shared HERE for everything I purchased)

#10. Soma Bra= These are the only bra’s I will wear now. Comfortable, supportive & can be worn under teeshirts. If you haven’t tried a Soma Bra, you really need to.

#11. Swimsuit= This One-piece, one-shoulder Swimsuit is a show stopper, easy to wear, and definitely splurge-worthy. I love that you can also wear this as a bodysuit with jeans and trousers. So cute.

#12. Maxi Dress = This Maxi dress is flattering on your shoulders; it looks pretty with a tan. It’s just the right amount of flow without too much fabric. It’s gorgeous for Summer events, vacations and perfects to wear all season long.

A Maxi is always a fun choice & Spice, or rust is actually a popular color for Summer, shown here with the cardigan, paired with a chambray Maxi dress ( this one was purchased at Magnolia Farms (I linked very similar ones) HERE and accessorized with another On Spring trend the pearls. Here I played with the Pearl trend & featured the Kendra Scott Pearl and silver pieces. It shines pretty with the chambray. Finishing the look off with a bootie and sun hat!

In Utah, Spring can be chilly (even snowy). This gives you the layers you need and a closed-toe shoe.

This Spring baby doll style dress has the cutest swiss dot details up close, and again we see the Rust color for Spring; it’s even mixed in with the coral and orange scarf I tied to my bag🌻🌷 I purchased the large, and I should have gotten the Medium. There is a lot of fabric (I should have stayed with my true size.) I needed the length of the large. (remember, I am 5’9″ for height reference) It paired with Tortoise & gold jewelry and finished off with a bootie. (this bootie is sold out) I linked similar ones HERE

This is a cute look for Easter and can take you all the way thru Spring and into Fall. With a few styling adjustments. Add a denim jacket, taller boots ( I love cowboy boots with baby doll dresses). Even a long cardigan sweater is cute for the Fall season.

A tee shirt dress is a perfect Spring Dress. It’s a great and easy-to-wear dress style for Spring. Easy to wear, easy to travel with, and even more versatile to style. (I’ve linked several like ones, As mine is sold out) Wear with this season’s HOTTEST kitten heel sandal HERE or with converse. This dress will take you from day to night, all in how you style it!

I’ve paired it with a Denim jacket that hits right where it needs to take you in at the waist. (this one HERE is my personal favorite, and I own in several washes.) Lightweight, soft, and fits perfect, not bulky or boxy. Finish off the look with your favorite Gold jewelry. I wear these pieces several times a week. Plaid shirt dress with pearl buttons has a touch of western appeal; I took the touch of Pearl on the buttons to the next level by dressing it up with Pearls, Cluster Pearl and tortoiseshell necklace, layered Pearl bracelets one a Chanel and some tortoiseshell bangles, tortoise hoop earrings, wedge sandals, and headscarf, to finish it off!

10 Valentine’s Day Outfit Inspiration You Can Copy! Outfit inspiration is what you’re looking for? I’ve got you covered!

I wanted to put together outfits from my Valentine’s clothing rack that I shared the other day on Instagram. You could view it HERE if you missed it. It’s a great way to help you create outfits fast and use pieces in your closet you forget about. I’ll talk more about creating a seasonal clothing rack at another time as I know from all the feedback, this is a topic you want more of. (remember I did one for Fall and Christmas)

Creating Valentin’s outfits can be as easy as grabbing your red and pink items and adding fun accessories. I’ve shown below outfit creations from old pieces I’ve collected over the years and added new pieces. These outfits were created to be easy for you to copy by shopping items in your own closet. However, I did link the outfits if you wanted to add in a few new pieces. Some items may be sold out or no longer available. If that was the case, I linked similar items.

Under each outfit, I broke it down to a “menu,” if you will, to help you grab the like items and style the look from my inspiration. I hope this inspires you to go into your closet and create a fun look or two for the month of love.

Cozy Must-Haves for Winter… Must include boots, and these cute Joan of Arch boots are a must. I have had them for at least 3 seasons and have worn them to death—my favorite Snow boot by far. I love the built-in wedge, the support is amazing, and the comfort is so cozy and warm you’ll live in them all Winter long as I do. Comes in a variety of colors and with or without the sherpa detail. Holiday Outfit Ideas for 2020

Holiday Outfit Idea’s for 2020, well, really for any Holiday year! So whether you’re playing it casual, Holiday shopping, staying in Pj’s or getting festive for a small Holiday party. I created Holiday outfit inspirations. Therefore, you should be able to shop your closet or add some new pieces to your Holiday wardrobe collection.

Holiday wardrobe

I say Holiday wardrobe collection, well, because it’s good to have a collection of fun Holiday pieces that you can add to every year and mix and match with current pieces to create new looks. And it should be looked at like building a wardrobe because building a Holiday wardrobe gives you a great collection to create outfits with ease. I have had some of the pieces for years, and I love pulling them all out year after year and seeing how I can wear it this year. Because looking festive for the whole season is not only fun but creates more cheer!

I hope this post really inspires you to dig in your closet and see if you have “like items” to help you create a fun Holiday outfit. As I said, a lot of my pieces are older and not shoppable, but I will create a shop this post for the items you can still purchase if you want to add a couple of pieces into your Holiday outfit collection.

You really could use any Green or red dress, layer with an oversize cardigan or boyfriend cardigan (black and white buffalo check is a shirt/jacket), tall boots, and a beanie to create this look. Perfect for Holiday lunch with the girlfriends, Helping out for Holiday school parties, or switch the boots for heels and add festive jewelry for a festive party look.

Here are a couple of dressed-up sparkly outfits, just if you are attending something a little more festive. I know this year’s Holiday party situation might look a little different. Therefore, it doesn’t mean you can’t get dolled up. I am one that is always a game for being overdressed! (hehe) I also am game for hosting a small Holiday party; let’s face it, we all need cheer! Holiday Pj’s and Loungewear

This sure has been the year of loungewear and pj’s! Christmas pj’s have always been a family tradition since I was a child, and I continued the tradition with my family. We don’t necessarily have matching pj’s, just festive. Above I showed a couple of ways you could take your pj’s and loungewear to the next Holiday level. By adding fun winter and holiday accessories, it’s not just pj’s. It’s a PJ outfit! By outfit, I do not mean appropriate to wear shopping! (hehe)

Casual Holiday

More of you have stated you take the casual approach to Holiday outfit looks. Above I created several Holiday flat lays to inspire you. As I stated above, I like to dress all month festively, from running errands to attending a girl’s lunch, helping out at school, or shopping. You’ll catch me in one of these looks.

Really easy to create and even easier to wear. Most of these looks are created with a base of jeans and a sweatshirt, then layered with seasonal accessories to give them the festive vibe. Note the jewelry, shoes and winter beanies, gloves, and scarves. As a result, give that Holiday winter vibe.

See why collecting is a must? A couple of tips for a good collection. For instance, look for sale items (even after the holiday, when everything is on sale!) Perfect time to grab items to stash away in your Holiday box. Yes! I said Box. Like our Holiday decor, create a Holiday clothing and accessory box! You only use those pieces for the Holiday’s so why take up valuable space in your closet year-round. Plus, it helps keep all your items together to create fun looks fast. Another great Tip is to Grab a great festive ribbon and use it as a belt. The ribbon is cheaper than purchasing a bow belt, and you can create a couple of them! For instance, the Large red ribbon belt I created above, so festive and really completed the outfit and just for a couple of bucks.
