Hello Pretty Ladies,

I hope your first week in February went well. Mine was busy getting work done, helping at school, and getting everything ready to head out of town for Ben’s birthday. We’re headed on a ski trip to Sun Valley. We’re both looking forward to a bit of downtime and a little alone time, as it has been a while. We both decided that we could use a tropical vacation with this year’s winter in Utah! But, Our annual Sun Valley trip has been planned for months. So off to more snow, we go.

I am excited to host a Styling Event & Girl’s Night at Evereve Station Park in Farmington, Ut. We’re celebrating Galentine’s Day. I couldn’t be more thrilled to be throwing my first-ever event at Evereve and the first Big event since 2019. I’ll be there to help style outfits; We’ll have bites and mocktails from Twigs bistro, Cookies from Chip cookies, Swag bags for all attendees as well as, a 15% off discount off Evereve purchases. We had the pleasure of combining work and play for a fun Girl’s weekend. Shopping, Hair, nails or a spa day, wine tasting, watching a movie, and dining are always delightful on a girl’s trip in Kirkland, Washington.

A little look back at my girl’s weekend with Dawn. We stayed at the beautiful Heathman Hotel in Kirkland, WA. Located just a block from Lake Washington and surrounded by great restaurants and shopping, it is a must-stay when you visit! You are also just minutes away from Shop Totem Lake. The Heathman has a beautiful lobby to cozy up next to the fire with a cup of coffee to start your day. And an excellent onsite restaurant and bar where we shared appetizers and drinks after a long work day.

Shop Totem Lake in Washington is the sister shopping center to Utah’s Station Park, which Dawn and I work with regularly on content creation. Dawn features Totem lake often, and I feature Station Park. We have now had the pleasure of working with each other at our locations while combining work and Play with a girl’s trip.

An excellent spot for a lunch meeting or hanging out with friends. The food was delicious, with several types of fries, from waffles, sweet potato regular fries, and garlic fries.

A little sleeping in and enjoying a coffee with a view in my room, wearing Print Fresh PJ, of course. (You know these are some of my go-to pj’s) The Heathman has in-room coffee, tea, and comfy couches, and my room had a pretty view overlooking the cute shops across the street.

A Walk & Breakfast at Kirkland bakery right across from the Hotel, and of so good we had to stop by multiple times.

This bakery and coffee house had the best croissants (like I was in Paris, and I am not joking). So good I took a box home for the guys. Everything we tried, we loved. Isn’t that one of your favorite things to do while traveling? Trying out and tasting the foods.

WOODINVILLE WINE COUNTRY

Yes, Seattle has a wine culture; who knew? Dawn and I met one of Dawn’s followers, Karin, for this fun experience. (now Karin and I follow each other and chat via dm daily) Another fun part of our job is building relationships that turn into friendships. We had a fun day experiencing three different wineries, tasting three wines per winery owned and created by women.

Checked one off my bucket list, with a little day trip to Pike’s Place. The flowers are stunning, and the shopping and food markets are something to see. We had a delicious lunch and picked up several yummy gourmet jams, cheese, chocolates, and treats to bring home.

What to wear for Apres Ski

Tomorrow, I have a “Fashion Fix” segment on ABC “s What to wear for Apres Ski.

I thought it would be fun to share some Winter apparel to wear for Apres ski or items you can take on your next ski trip. So I shopped at local places to pick up things I thought were unusual and pieces you could wear all Winter long, whether you ski or not.

Winter Apparel

Living in Utah, you need several good winter pieces to keep you warm, but let’s face it, if you like me, you want to look cute too…this is where Apres Ski comes in….

For Apres ski, you don’t have to be a skier. Whether you’re heading to the lodge for a yummy drink or a delicious meal, you could look like it. Because let me tell you, many ski areas have fantastic food.

Or if you’re Heading out to shop in a mountain town. For example, park City, Ut, Big Bear lake, Ca, Sun Valley, ID, or Aspen, Co. These looks will fit you right in.

Definition of Apres Ski

Apres Ski: social activity (as at a ski lodge) after a day’s skiing

One of my favorite parts of a ski trip is getting dressed for Apres Ski.

I love A faux fur Sherpa layered look, but I also adore the ski sweater, layered puffer jacket, and great snow boots look.

This is the time to wear the fab beanie and faux fur-trimmed pieces and layer up.

We Have a cute full-service Ski shop in Eden, Utah, called Diamond Peak. They have everything you need for skiing, snowboarding, and in the warmer months. Biking in warmer months, everything From hard goods to some of the cutest clothing for Men, women, and children.

Here I picked up this cute Obermeyer mountain scene ski jacket with fur collar, so cute for Apres Ski, paired with wax-coated black jeans and a fair isle sweater. Assorted Beanies, especially fur Pom poms, make a great accessory and Mittens. Being warm and cozy also is a must for cozying up by the fire with a warm drink.

Super soft and warm mock neck tunics and Sherpa pullovers also help keep you warm while being perfect for Apres Ski paired with leggings or jeans, cute Sorel fur-lined boots, a beanie, and an excellent puffer jacket.

A clock, A little night light as your guest don’t know their way around in the dark. A cozy throw blanket to cozy up and read. And in the closet, I like to keep a couple of extra pillows and a blanket. (TIP: have a couple of different pillows, as everyone likes a different type to sleep on.)
