Hello Pretty Ladies,

Today’s Friday favorites and weekly round-up look are slightly different this week. So I thought it would be fun to share my recent Spring finds under $100, some great items I found that will help you look chic all Spring and Summer that are also so affordable.

Jewelry

I am a sucker for accessories and jewelry for use on the outfit. So here are some pieces I purchased this SSpringI am already wearing on repeat.

Evereve large turquoise and gold statement ring and this delicate turquoise and gold bracelet. I love that it mixes and matches all my gold jewelry, yet it also works with several turquoise pieces I own. This bracelet is pretty on its own, but I love a good arm stack, and it looks great with the bracelets I own from Miranda Frye.

For the Home

I can’t get enough of this $30 candle. The scent fragrances the main level of our home, and the 40 oz container is beautiful.

I picked up a couple of new pillows to freshen up the outside bench for SSpring, this great rug, and a fun silk plant.

My Model’s looks:

Cammi-Cornflower Blue Eleni Maxi coverage dress with pretty little bow details. It is paired with a pop of floral on the Cecelia New York shoes. And finish off the look with an ivory custom coastal clutch. A perfect look for Easter services, Brunch, and would be darling for A bridal shower.

Swap out pieces for a more casual or youthful look:

This dress could be worn in many ways: pull off the shoulders for a less modest way, or add a bunch of turquoise jewelry and cowboy boots for a boho vibe. So cute for festival and concert season.

Kjirstin -Modeling the pantsuit trend in this season’s fresh color trend sage. The Blazer & the Pant was paired with a slightly floral detailed top in sage and pink. Finish the look with the Quilted accessories trend in the shoes and bag. The final finishing touch is Pearl accessories.

The pantsuit is a great alternative to a dress. A fresh and chic look for Spring

Swap out pieces for a more casual or youthful look:

Change up the look, A younger person could swap out the top for a cropped top, and swap out the accessories for simpler pieces. Think simple platform sandals and a belt bag.

Myself– Wearing the Neutral color trend with the Twist on a Shirtdress, a mocha-colored high-low button-up dress. It was paired with a cute Cream cargo cropped jacket and Studded detail neutral sandals. For a bit of Pop of color, a hot pink bag.

Outfits on the Mannequins

1st Mannequin – Med length Denim Skirt, Eyelet top, and pretty bow detail heels. If you don’t love a denim skirt, pair it with Wide leg crops. Works for every age, as shown in the segment.

2nd Mannequin – Hot Pink and Orange – solid Ribbed Tank dress in Orange pairs with a solid Hot pink blazer, Accessorized with A darker orange braid bag for texture and a little pop. Hot Pink tassel earrings and finishing the look with a fun circle detailed, neutral sandal.

Change up for a more youthful look

This look could be worn at any age as well, but to look more youthful, you could add a denim jacket instead of a blazer, swap out sandals for tennis shoes or pass on a jacket and tie a denim shirt around the waist.

3rd Mannequin – A coastal look with a Navy striped ribbed sweater tank dress, Paired with a Navy blazer (Save 10% with code DARCY10) and accessorized with a Neutral Laser cutout bag and sandals. Finished off with a straw hat gives this look the perfect coastal vibe. Cutouts on bags and shoes are a great choice to wear the trend if you don’t feel comfortable wearing clothing with cutouts.

Change up The Look

-Here’s another look that could be worn at any age, but simply changing out a blazer for no jacket or a cargo or denim jacket and changing accessories to simple Converse tennis shoes and a belt bag, would create a more youthful look.

4th Mannequin -Pj Pant suit set, Oversized top & Pants. Easy, breezy, and Chic. Kelly Green is a hot color trend, and paired with black gives it a fun edge. Yet, still very Spring-like. Accessories help take this look from looking like pj’s to looking business chic. The black body suit keeps the eye clean and flattering. A lightweight wax-coated black jacket over the shoulders, gold bow detailed slides, and a black quilted bag with gold trim polish off the look.

Change up the look

Here you could opt to not were the button-up and only wear the bodysuit with the pants, and forgo any jacket. This look would also be just with a denim jacket and a simple sandal or Converse or Ked-type tennis shoe. Swap out a quilted bag for a crossbody bag.

Athleta Spring Haul Wardrobe Refresher

Hello Pretty Ladies,

As you are reading this, I am on a little Ski trip with my husband for his birthday in Sun Valley. We needed this little break together, and I was looking forward to it as it’s one of my favorite trips. We return with the family in March for our annual ski trip, which is also a favorite time. But there’s just something about taking the time to spend time together as just a couple, wouldn’t you agree?

Before we left town, I headed to Station Park to meet my friend Cammi at Cammi’s Happy Place for a little Athleta try-on, lunch at Twigs, and our Bookclub Live we did for Chico’s. Always fun to spend time with her and get a little work done. Business and pleasure, as they say.

I no black isn’t very colorful, but it is a go-to basic, and I wanted to share my go-to pieces that you could wear year-round and add a little pop of color with just one item. You’ll wear this quilted vest repeatedly, making it a great streetwear piece.

Styling Event & Girl’s Night at Evereve

Hello Pretty Ladies,

I hope your first week in February went well. Mine was busy getting work done, helping at school, and getting everything ready to head out of town for Ben’s birthday. We’re headed on a ski trip to Sun Valley. We’re both looking forward to a bit of downtime and a little alone time, as it has been a while. I thought it would be fun to share some fun free date night ideas with you that my hubby and I love to do with each other, along with a couple of reasons why it’s important to date your spouse.

The importance of Taking Time to Date your spouse:

Taking the time to date your spouse is essential to stay connected, share your thoughts, and catch up on your week. Life gets busy with family duties, work, and life. It’s really easy to disconnect and eventually grow apart.

Why You Should Date your Spouse:

Ben and I make a point to have a weekly date night. Time for just him and I, no kids, no work, no duties. It’s our time that we can enjoy each other and talk about what is going on in our lives. Spending time together keeps us emotionally connected, which helps with staying physically connected.

1. Bike ride– Taking a bike ride around the block is fine, but Searching out a fun bike path you maybe haven’t done makes it more special. Pack some snacks and stop for a little break to chat and Catch up.

2. Walk– I love a good walk. Research a fun walking path, pack a light meal and incorporate a picnic.

3. Picnic– Pack a picnic and head to the Park or scenic area, take in the view, and have a meal.

4. Pool or spa – if you have one or have a community pool-make a charcuterie board and cocktails and enjoy some time together poolside.

5. Go for a drive– One of my husband’s favorite things is to take a Sunday drive. Depending on the time of the year, we’ll hop in the convertible, play some tunes and check out some new scenery.

6. Cook -a new recipe together

7. Coffee and chat– make coffees (tea), sit on the porch or deck, and catch up.

8. Home Spa day– hubbies can have home facials too. Pull out your Beauty products and give each other facials.

9. Hike– pack a picnic and go for a hike. It’s easy to find ones in your area. Google is your friend. In Utah, we like these four, depending on the level we’re feeling that day. 1. Water Fall canyon 2. Skyline trail 3. Ogden River Parkway trail 4. Wind Cave Trail

10. Concert– You say concerts aren’t free? Yes, a lot of areas have free concerts. It just takes a little google search. Live in Utah? Snowbasin has Blue, Brews & BBQ, and Music in the mountains at Powder Mnt. , Silly Sundays Park City, and Canyons village Summer concerts,

11. Movie night– pop some popcorn, grab a drink get comfy, and watch a movie you’ll enjoy.

Think of where you live. Are you close to the beach, a lake, wildflower fields, scenic roads, and rivers? All of these beautiful surroundings make for a great free date spot.

The other night on our Chit chat chic Live, we had a fun “show and tell ” 5 Spring Questions: we’ve got Favorites For! And We thought it would make for a great blog post, with all the information and products shared. So, below is a recap of what we shared in case you missed it or needed a refresh. 1. Share a trendy accessory you’re loving right now.

Accessories are a big LOVE for me. They really do finish off an outfit and show your personality. I love a big statement ring, Arm Candy has always been a favorite, and this is 2 of my daily arm Stacks lately …My go-to earrings are always hoops… Classic, work with every hairdo, and really never go out of style. I tend to purchase from Kendra Scott, Uncommon James, Gorjana. I also have several Micheal Kor’s. As I love the quality and they always have great styles.

The ring finger is a 24-carat gold ring from Cartier ( I linked an affordable similar ring ) middle is Tiffany, the pointer is Kedra Scott on my wrist is a Diamond Tennis bracelet, layered with a Kendra Scott, and MiGnon Faget bracelet.

Below are my go-to Hoops, which I repeatedly wear, with the beaded ones above my latest obsession…I have in Cream and just ordered the white.

2. What spring/summer sandal style will you wear (or are you already)?

Can I say, “I love Sandal season!” I don’t think you could ever have too many pairs! So, with that said! I will share what I’ve purchased this year, what I’ve been already wearing to Death, and the classic sandals I wear every year and add a new color to the mix.

Below are the styles I’ve already purchased and worn to death these last two months already.

The Miller Sandal by Tory Burch is an all-time classic and truly looks great with everything all Spring and Summer. But, if I were only to buy one sandal all year, I’d pick these. (I purchased my first pair in black leather over 8-9 years ago.) I believe (when they first came out) and have since added White, red, and natural.

: Summer linen is one of my favorite things and clearly yours too. You guys purchased a ton of these pants, and I wasn’t surprised because they are one of my favorite things, easy to style and were on SALE.

This question truly is hard… because it depends on what you are looking for. So I am turning it around to where I’ve been shopping lately and what I have purchased!

–Target= Like you, I am sure I shop at Target weekly for anything from Food to clothing and home goods. A Target trip brings me joy♥️ But Honestly, Target has been a real miss for me lately on the clothing… Here are a few things I did pick up on the Home goods side that brought me joy.

Cami and short sets are my go too. I love a chemise and, on occasion, a PJ pant set, but it has to be super soft, and I do like the cool nights by Soma. I am very tactile and like my pj’s to be very soft, including lace. And I really like a cami-style strap.

If you follow me, you already know the answer! Hat adoring girl here! I’ve collected hats since Jr. High school, and I still have some of them! I adore a good hat of any style. From Ball caps, beanies to Felt and straw! I will definitely spend good money on a high-quality hat, but that doesn’t mean I won’t grab an affordable, trendy one.

6 Easy Neutral Outfits for Spring

It’s no secret that I love Neutrals, and I can’t tell you how happy I am. Neutrals are a big trend this spring. A Neutral palette makes it easy to mix and match to create chic outfits with ease. So today, I am sharing 6 Easy Neutral Outfits for Spring with you.

You can easily get inspiration from these looks, try to think what you have in your closet that is similar, and create the outfit from what you may already have in your wardrobe. Of course, Adding a couple of new pieces to your wardrobe every season is fun. I provided the shopping links as well.

High-waisted, wide-leg jean looks great with the Spanx bodysuit. The fitted bodysuit helps balance the wide leg of the jean. Also, notice how the cropped Free people sweater is tapered at the waist, again adding balance. This is a great “rule” to follow when wearing a high waist and a wide leg.

A classic Spring a Summer look, White jeans, and a denim shirt. Again I am wearing the Spanx white bodysuit. It really is a great basic layering piece. I love good white jeans (I actually own several styles of white jeans). They are slightly cropped with a baby flair, great with a strappy sandal. This Denim Shirt HERE

Nothing says Spring like a jersey dress (this cami slip jersey dress is a deal at $15). A great way to dress it up and add some style is to layer with this year’s Spring trend =Faux Leather. I Found this fab faux leather shacket in Nola, and I knew it was a piece I would wear for years. This piece is so affordable under $50. Layering Neutrals adds texture and a richer feel.

Note* These are a must-have shoe and have been a BEST seller for me for the last three weeks! So comfortable, and I have been wearing them on repeat! They look good with everything.

Here are a couple of my favorite pieces from last year that have been restocked! The Free people Dupe, white button-up $20 I purchased two of them last year because they’re that good! Another staple piece from last year brought back is the Maggie jean. These high-waisted distressed cropped jeans come in several colors and washes (I own at least 4 of them). I love pairing a classic preppy style or feminine look with the distressed. Also restocked from last year is the Braided kitten heal and on SALE $38

The vest was huge this fall, and it works great for Spring. Just layer with Neutrals for a fresh look.

Classic all white linen layers over the Spanx bodysuit (again). White linen pants you’ll wear on repeat (can you believe these are the old navy pants?) A great tip to dress up basics, Add a great bag, shoes, and accessories.

The Flaired jean-Risen jeans are $69, so affordable for great quality jeans. Super soft, great stretch (size down). I would normally suggest wearing a fitted top with flared jeans. Here’s the one exception, A Boho vibe allows for a little flowy, this top hits at the hip bone, which helps balance the wide bottom. (Note my best selling shoe) I could have worn this shoe with every one of the outfits above.

Hello Pretty Ladies,

Looking for some fun & beautiful places to shop while you are in Louisiana? We have some great places to visit In Baton Rouge, about an hour out of New Orleans, which is worth the drive. Perkins Row is in the heart of Baton Rouge’s Medical and shopping district with the latest fashion trends and upscale, boutique-style shops and delightful restaurants. Towne Center at Cedar Lodge is an open-air center with premier shopping & dining paired with beautiful Architecture and landscaping. We enjoyed both the shopping and the dining experience as each center has its charm with different style shops, landscape, and dining. Below you’ll find the shops we Highlighted at each location.

Magazine Steet, Located in New Orleans, is widely known and has become a destination. A street full of old homes turned into storefronts mixed in with cafes and coffee shops, giving it a little bit of a town’s main street feel, yet has the charm of “old world.”

What’s a girl’s Trip without shopping and lunch? Sharing below a couple of shops that hosted us at each location and the details of each. I hope you enjoy it.

Perkins Row in Baton Rouge

Krewe, Founded in 2013 by Stirling Barrett, KREWE creates iconic handmade Italian frames that celebrate individual taste. We were treated to Champagne, hosted by a darling sales girl who was helpful and a delight to work with.

Magazine street, In New Orleans

Retail street stores offer a delightful antidote to the typical mall experience. Clusters of shops are interspersed with charming homes and a mix of renovated warehouses and shops selling housewares, pottery, period furniture, clothing, books, glass, toys, china, soaps, and jewelry. Magazine Street is the ideal spot for a leisurely walk-about, with plenty of coffee shops, cafes, and restaurants to provide a pit stop and refreshment to the tired shopper. New Orleans.com

Off Magazine St.

House Floats are all over New Orleans (most near Magazine street). They took over for the canceled parades due to covid last year. So instead of people gathering for parades, you could drive around and look at the house parade. AKA House Floats… People loved it so much they continued to do it again this year. Mignon Faget’s House float was Amazing, as were so many. We just didn’t have time to stop and take photos. There were so many over-the-top decorations, but we had a lot of one-way streets and an appointment we had to get to.

Baton Rouge Towne Center at Cedar Lodge

Loft

THE LOFT, Women’s Fashion from feminine to casual, has been in business for over 20 years and has hundreds of storefronts in both outdoor and indoor mall locations. Loft at Towne Center treated us to a fun shopping and try-on session. The staff created try-on racks before our arrival, with the latest Spring fashion making it easy for us to spot and try on the latest pieces.

I always like to browse the shop and check out the displays, as that is one of the fun parts of shopping. Also, how I make sure not to miss something! In which I found these Navy Joggers, I knew at first glance that they would be like my favorite Level 99 joggers (in Camo) I found last year, and the Loft ones are 1/2 the price. Score! When trying them on in hopes they’d fit like my favorite pair, They did and I wished they had in several colors. (online they have Navy and Grey) Lisa and Cammi grabbed a pair as well. I told them they’d be their favorites and sure enough, they’ve worn on repeat.

You know those things you wear on repeat or find yourself using over and over? That’s what today’s post is all about! My 5 Favorite Things You’ll Love Right NOW! I truly do have so many things I love and find myself using to death or buying over and over, like the Slide sandals below or the only Bra I ever want to wear. But I also find myself always grabbing this straw hat and lately wearing this Pearl Jacket over and over again. I could have added about 10 more things! 🙂 But I kept it short and sweet for you today. HEHE

This look is perfect for Spring or Summer (remember I wore this for Easter.) I love a good Sun Dress and Fun on-trend accessories. But I am really here to Talk about this Hat and Hat Band. I love the shape of the hat; it works so well with many Spring and Summer looks. The band is sold separately HERE (Gucci but is affordable for Gucci). You can add it to any Hat or beanie, and it changes the whole look of the hat and outfit.

I own many hats and love all of them for several reasons ( I can get into that another time). I do, however, find myself grabbing this one several times a week because the shape is so good, it really does look good on every shape face, and as I stated above, it works with so many outfits. It’s a must-have in my book FAVORITE THING #1.

The pearl embellished denim jacket, Can I say repeat, repeat repeat… I have worn it 3 times this week already, and it’s only Wednesday! 🙂 Every time I wear it, I get stopped, and let me tell you, I wore it last week to Vintage Market, and I could have sold 100 of them if I had a booth! The detail and quality are amazing, yet it’s so affordable that you’d never guess it’s the dupe for the designer one. This seriously will be your go-to FAVORITE THING. Shop the Jacket HERE

The Maggie distressed jeans in white, High waisted, button fly (size up) I am talking about this in stories today, as I am doing a try on this very look, talking you through it. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know, I adore these jeans and own them in all 5 washes. So that right there should tell you, they’re a favorite. 🙂 That could be its own ” 5 Favorite Things You’ll Love Right NOW!” post.

Maggie Jean is so easy to wear, even easier to style, and works with so many tops; you can achieve many looks wearing them. That easy Chic look, Casual Summer vibe, to rocker girl. All in how you style them. I even love them with a pretty lace detail top for a fun mix of distress and feminine.

FAVORITE THING #4

The slide, I found myself owning several pairs of this sandal, without even knowing I love this type of sandal. I love how easy a slide is to wear; it’s very versatile to style and looks good with literally everything (well, except maybe a ball gown!) It comes in a variety of designs; you seriously can’t own just one pair. My Instagram feed shows several ways to style them, and trust me; I’ll be wearing them on repeat all Summer long. Favorite Things #5

The Soma vanishing 360 bras are my all-time favorite bra. So comfortable you can wear all day long. I love it’s truly a vanishing bra, not visible under any shirt, let alone tee’s and tanks. I like an underwire, but they do make without the wire as well. This bra is true to size, super soft, and the best bra I have loved in a very long time.
