8 Teacher Outfits You’re Going To Love

Hello Pretty Ladies,

Can you believe we are headed back to school already? Where did summer go? I used to think it flew by when my kids were little, and I feel like as I’ve gotten older, it flies by even faster. Whether you are a teacher or have an office career, I’ve put together 8 outfits you could easily wear for any type of professional job, meetings, or coffee dates. These outfits are mostly made up of great wardrobe/classic pieces, which you’ll be able to wear on repeat and build your wardrobe off of. Great essentials are a necessity for creating easy, go-to outfits.

Adding in trendy accessories is an affordable way to freshen up pieces you already have in your closet. I shared more about that on my Fall trends blog post last week. Below you’ll see how I used both closet wardrobe builders (staple pieces) and a few on-trend pieces to create outfits you can wear for more than work. I’m sharing a few trends of the season, as well as some easy outfit ideas, too. Fall fashion is one of my favorite seasons to shop for, so let’s have some fun!!

This Season’s Hottest Fall Updates and Trending Accessories, a Perfect & affordable way to give your wardrobe a little update. Here are a few of the things I am noticing:) & What I’ve been Fall Trend spotting. Mixing Affordable finds with classic wardrobe staples to refresh your Fall wardrobe. Think Layers, classic Ralph Lauren, Rich fabrics, wool, tweeds, plaid, Cable knit sweaters, mixed with denim, and suede. The English countryside sets the stage for this year’s classic fall, adding in that East Coast Preppy vibe. Take these classic wardrobe basics and mix in this season’s hot colors and accessories. It is a great way to elevate any outfit this Fall.

Ralph Lauren’s style is characterized by timeless elegance, classic American fashion, and a blend of sophistication and casual comfort.

Western style has been a huge trend this year, and of course, I am loving it. So many different ways to add the trend into your style, from boots to belts to hats. This fringe jacket I just got in is EVERYTHING.

Denim Maxi Skirts, and Denim on denim, also known as (Canadian Tuxedo), this Amazon denim vest is so cute |Cowboy boots, Neck scarves, Turquoise, Fringe details, Cow Print, and a few maxi dresses that would be beautiful worn alone or layered with a jacket or chunky knit cardigan for fall.

COW PRINT Cow print is a HUGE trend for fall + it is one of my favorites to style. You can go crazy with cow print denim, jackets, etc, or keep it simple and add in cow print sneakers, a Belt, or a handbag. It is really up to you! How far do you want to take

Colors and textures

Shades of white are holding strong, of course. Shades of green, chocolate brown, cognac, and red & wine are still hot again this year. Classic prints like leopard, plaid, and camo we see almost every fall… are of course Print choices as well as rich fabrics like wool, tweed, and cashmere.

Mixing patterns and textures:

CHOCOLATE

Lace continues to be a big trend, especially for Fall. I love that it adds a feminine touch to your look. The lace maxi is a perfect way to incorporate this

OLIVE GREEN

Olive green is the new IT GIRL color of the season + I’m here for it. Grab a cozy olive green sweater, a cute handbag, or go for an all-over monochromatic look.

SUEDE

Suede is always a big trend during Fall,

Homemade Caprese Focaccia Bread

Homemade Caprese Focaccia Bread

Hello Pretty Lady,

The recipe I make often is a family favorite and has been highly requested by you. I’ve finally had a chance to get it up on the blog, and I hope you and your family love it as much as mine does. You’ll have to let me know in the comments below if you try it.

Focaccia Dough recipe:

4 cups flour, 2 teaspoons salt, 2 teaspoons instant yeast, 2 cups water. Whisk together the flour, salt, and yeast first, then add water and stir together. Add olive oil, then cover the bowl preferably with a lid or a cloth bowl cover. Stick the bowl in the fridge immediately; leave it there to rise for 12 to 18 hours (or for as long as three days). The dough recipe is one I tried from Alexandria | and it’s seriously so good on its own with rosemary and the Sea Salt. But, I just had to try it with my Caprice Toppings, and man, the combination is so good!

TIP:

I baked the bread the day or so before (double the batch and make a couple), freeze one for later.

Then I added all the toppings and baked for 15 minutes, or you can serve toppins cold on the baked foccia & drizzled with balsamic glaze, and served

Caprice Toppings:

-Organic Tomatoes

-Fresh Basil

-Fresh rosemary

-Chopped garlic cloves

-Mozzarella ( I like Trader Joe’s cut in 1/2, and I use a little of the oil it’s in to drizzle )

-Sprinkle flaky salt

-Drizzle with olive oil (I use garlic-infused)

Serve with :

Balsamic vinegar and olive oil

Bruschetta sauce (Trader Joe’s)

Love a little dipping, but it’s tasty all on its own

Other topping options:

Kamala olives

Jalapeños

Hello Pretty Ladies,

The most anticipated Sale of the Year! It starts tomorrow, but only for cardholders with Icon Static…. I didn’t want non-cardholders to feel left out, so I scoured all 136 pages of the sale section to bring you my top picks throughout the week! Hoping you enjoy seeing some of the pieces I own and a peek at my wish list. I am swooning over them. Perfect pieces to add to your Summer wardrobe, transition into Fall, and pieces you’ll live in all Winter! This Sale is the best price of the Year and makes for a great time to stock up.

I’ve been shopping this sale for over 30 years and look forward to it every year. It’s a great time to pick up items/brands that are hard to find on sale! They have amazing beauty bundles you can’t get any other time of the year!

Items I purchase for my wardrobe, I wear, tend to wear on repeat as well as build my classic wardrobe with good quality pieces.

This year’s SALE is truly one of the BEST I’ve seen in years… My wish list would be everything you see here in my graphics (if I could.

Things to remember: The Anniversary SALE is open for preview and starts tomorrow for Icon static cardholders….Don’t have a card? Apply here to shop for the Cardholder sale from July 8th to August 3rd. Store sales will open to the public from July 14th to August 3rd. Are you a cardholder? Remember, you get a triple points day, so don’t forget to schedule it for the day you’re headed to shop.

If you want to score early access, apply for a Nordstrom credit card ASAP. The retailer offers two types of cards, a retail credit card and a Visa credit card, which provide the same benefits and are eligible for early access to the Anniversary Sale. While your cardmember status depends on yearly spending amounts (shared below), all cardmembers automatically start at Influencer status, which means you’ll get an extra four days to shop the Sale before it opens to everyone.

Insider tips

Early access for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale begins tomorrow for Cardholders, and even I can’t stop until the 11th! The bummer is that things start selling quickly, so I have some tips!

Shop online! This is where you will find the most extensive selection!

Add to Wishlist! If you see something you love, add it to your wishlist, so the day you’re able to shop, you can immediately “add to cart”!

Add a different size! If the size you are looking for sells out in your size, add a different size to your shopping bag and check back often as things get returned and stocked! I’ve even had luck exchanging after the sale for the correct size and color.

Expedite Shipping! For $20, this bumps your order and gives you a better chance to get what you want!

When can I shop for the 2025 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?

July 1st- Online preview begins ( you can start planning and creating your wishlist)

Icons July 8th-11th -Icon Early Access. Icons spend over $15,000 per Year

Ambassadors – July 9th-11th- Ambassador early access. Ambassadors spend over $5000 per Year.

Influencers – July 10th-11th- Influencer early access. Influencers spend over $500 per Year.

Everyone – July 12th- Aug-3rd- General access non- card holders or members can shop

Summer is finally here, and that means summer social season as well as everyday life has us looking in our closets, wondering what we want to wear. I am always here to help you with just that. Whether it’s drawing inspiration from outfits I’ve created or helping you to find pieces that will add a fresh look to items in your closet. Today I thought I would share a few fun Outfit inspirations that work for Everyday, Travel, Brunch with friends, or running errands.

Amazon Outfit Inspiration Perfect For Travel or Running Errands. Affordable fashion, that is good quality for the price, is a great way to add in some wardrobe basics, seasonal pieces, and a few trending fashions at affordable prices. These are several items I own and feel you would like as well. Please know I would never share items I didn’t like or want myself.

Summer Salad Season Crunchy Chicken – Sweet and Savory Salad

Hello Pretty Ladies,

I hope you had a great weekend. The weather in Utah has been beautiful, and we’ve been spending a lot of time outside working on Yard and Garden projects and craving salads. With that being said, for today’s “In the Kitchen with D’Arcy,” I am sharing my recipe for my Crunchy Chicken – Sweet and Savory Salad. It’s so good, the mix of crunchy Chicken and sweet pecans with the savory flavor of Blue cheese gives this mixed green and veggie salad that wow factor.

Crunchy Chicken – Sweet and Savory Salad Recipe:

2 Panko-crusted chicken breasts cut into cubes ( I use my Chicken Schnitzel recipe) (I make a couple extra that week for dinner & reserve to make this salad that week)

One Bag of mixed greens of your choice or hand chop ( I like 1 chopped romaine, 1 chopped iceberg, and a handful of spinach)

1/2 cup Green onions

1 large tomato, diced

One Carrot sliced however you like

1 cup Blue cheese crumbles

1 cup Candied pecans

Fresh pepper to taste

Balsamic glaze for drizzle

Homemade garlic croutons (I use leftover garlic bread, cut into cubes and warm in the oven until crispy)

My dressing of choice is a homemade Italian vinaigrette or balsamic vinegar; the boys prefer blue cheese dressing.

How to serve:

This salad serves four as a main course for dinner. If so, I make four salads in individual bowls by dividing the ingredients evenly. If serving as a side or taking it to a party, I add everything to a large wooden salad bowl and mix the lettuce with a good toss. Then, I layer all the ingredients except the salad dressing and let people add that to their liking.
