25 Beauty products I tried and tested out. I like to call the empties, products I tried out until emptied and tested to provide you with that honest review. I did a full video over on Instagram today and talked about each product, and gave my honest thoughts (maybe too real) on all 25 products. Head over to Instagram to view. Here on the blog, I am giving you the product, some of the ingredients, and the product links if they were available for easy shopping, with a Quick buy or pass.

Dior’s highlighter pallet comes in two four-way color pallets. HERE I loved the way it blended perfectly and gave the cheekbones a beautiful glow. More beauty products I tried and test out below.

Aveda= damage remedy, the leave-in treatment you do not rinse out. I like how it worked and didn’t make my hair feel heavy or gummy. BUY

Kerastase= blond Absolu, Shampooing anti-brass purple shampoo for lightened, cool blonde, or grey hair BUY

Eos lip balm = fresh mint this lip balm really does help dry chapped lips of winter.

I love the scent and it’s truly moisturizing. I use it at bedtime. BUY

Make-up

Mac = Prep + Prime, Coconut skin refresher, and finishing mist. I love this as a setting spray after I finish my makeup look. The scent is heavenly and reminds me of Summer. I love this product and always have one on hand. BUY

City Beauty= City lips Matte plumping lip creme stain. Color pink taupe. This product truly stains your lips yet not drying and stays on with a mask. BUY

L’Oréal = waterproof Telescopic mascara in black . Although I don’t need a water prod mascara, I did love this one. I wear lash extensions but need mascara for bottom lashes and I love this brush for bottom lashes. Great color and last all day. No flaking and comes off easily when I get wash my face. BUY

Quiet a list of Empties, right? I know, I really like to try out all of the products before giving the review, to provide the product with a full chance. Sometimes, Some product gets used faster and others last a long time, which can end up with a very large Empties review. And I also like to use alike products, some of the times to be able to have a comparison to share with you. This is why there are multiple shower gels or hair care products. etc.

I get so many products sent to me and items I do purchase as well that it’s so fun to share, which I often share in unboxings in my Instagram stories. Because I always state I will test out and give you a review, I know you like them and patiently wait. Sometimes it takes me a while to get to that product and to use it all. I know many people are scared in these times, and I want to share HOW I keep my family healthy and keep their immune systems up, especially in these times. Using Supplements for immunity boosts.

My family and I take vitamin D3 and C plus magnesium to absorb the D3 And immunity boosters like Elderberry. If I feel drained, I’ll take zinc (my family too) with Echinacea. I also love Oscillococcinum HERE (I have used this product for over 8 years & it stops a cold in its tracks!) I have shared this product over the years here and on Instagram.

Now, I have traveled every month since May. Taking travel precautions and following safety guidelines, of course, and keeping my immunities up. Keeping with this regimen, I haven’t gotten sick. I’ve Been to NYC, California, AZ, Nv, Tx, MT., and Id! I’ve been in planes, trains, subways, taxis, and even a boat. Having been able to live my life, support small businesses and stay healthy. I know taking these supplements and following these simple healthy tips are a BIG part of why my family and I have stayed healthy. Getting outside for 15 to 20 min a day to absorb sunlight and natural vitamin D. It is also essential to exercise, 20 to 30 minutes, even a quick walk will help, and remember to eat healthily. This may seem really basic but very important to overall health and keeps your immune system high.

My High schooler ( who has a low immune system) has been sent home for two weeks, twice, because he was exposed 😭 to Covid19 (never getting sick). Even his girlfriend was exposed, her whole family got Covid. Therefore she had to come to stay with us for two weeks…Our family remained healthy. (every time we were possible exposed, we did take the recommended precautions to keep others safe) We remained healthy through all of these cases; Now, we don’t believe this was just luck. Because we truly believe it is as simple as what you put into your body.

Tips🚨 I learned that are very important:

Magnesium is VERY, VERY important! I learned this years ago from my hormone Dr and thought it’s so important to share. Magnesium is needed to absorb the D3…we’re all very low on D3…and even more so if in Menopause and where you live is a factor! Did you know 80% of covid patients had a vitamin D deficiency? 🤷🏼‍♀️ Who knew… I’ve been taking the Magnesium and Vitamin D3 regimen for 4 years…Also, important to know when purchasing a Vit D, it needs to have the 3.

Saying Goodbye to Summer…Fashion I am packing away!

Do you have those Summer pieces you wore over and over and are sad when it comes time to pack them away? These are pieces that don’t transition into Fall. Summer short, Summer Printed tops and dresses, Sandals you loved, and those perfect Straw hats and Fun Summer Bags. I sure do. These pieces I wore to death all summer long and genuinely hated having to pack them away, Partly because it means the end of summer and partly because these pieces brought me joy all summer long.

The linen shorts HERE from Old navy I purchase in the stripe and four solid colors. So affordable, comfortable, and easy to style. I wore with a tank or graphic tee and if not to hot-finished off with a denim jacket. Shop the whole look HERE. Picking up summer pieces on SALE for next year is always a great idea and like Christmas when you unpack your summer clothing!

My favorite sandal this year by far! I purchased my tan shoes from my girlfriends little boutique Rowan in California. Best purchase ever, I could have worn every day they worked with every outfit I put together. Forcing myself to grab other sandals (lord knows I own plenty!) Those fun straw bags and favorite espadrilles we all love and collect scream all things summer! I am a sucker for cute bags and shoes. They get me every season, but especially in the summer. These are very hard for me to say goodbye. The struggle is so real 🙂 but let’s face it transitioning these cuties into Fall is pushing it. It’s time to say goodbye for now and see you in a year. I like to store all my summer bags in the totes below; Clear bins are perfect so you can see them. I store all my Summer sandals in the shoe storage, also shown below.

I loved the Blazer and Bermuda shorts trend this year, Yes Blazer’s transition great into every season, but as I stated above, shorts are hard, especially in Utah. All though you can wear with a sweater and sweatshirt on chillier evenings or a crisp day, those days are far too little living here in Utah or Mountain communities. Packing these guys away, Tip, I like to roll all my shorts and store in bins showed below. Shop this look HERE

Floral Prints and what to do?

Saying Goodbye to Summer…Fashion I am packing away! My love of floral prints always has me sad to see them go. Fall color florals transition into Fall, so you can keep those out for a little longer, but as I stated above, We should pack away summer florals. Note my favorite sandals here again:)

What do you do with those seasonal dresses?

Dresses can be so versatile and can be great wardrobe builders, but unfortunately, some dresses do scream their season, like above, it truly is a Summer/Spring dress. Find it HERE. Just like a sweater dress is a Fall/Winter dress. If you purchase a ton of this season’s tee shirt dress, You can keep those out and transition those into your Fall wardrobe by adding layers and wearing them with booties or tennis shoes. Suppose you have darker colored or dark or fall printed dresses that transition perfectly as well. 10 Summer Favorites I Can’t Live Without! I hope you won’t be able to live without them either. Summer is one of my favorite seasons, being outside enjoying the weather, dining outside, enjoying the gardens, and the long days along with pool & lake time and entertaining outdoors. With all the fun things to do, you’ll need to look good doing them, right? Here are my 10 Summer favorites I can’t live without!

Shorts, I love every length short, but the Bermuda shorts are one of this seasons biggest trends. In every shade, style, and color, you can’t go wrong with a Bermuda short. They look great paired with a blazer too. Easy to wear and even easier to style. Anything goes with a cute pair of Bermudas. Here are some of my favorites.

Sandals are making my top 10 Summer favorite’s. I can’t live without, and I found some adorable ones I have been wearing to death. My picks are sandals you’ll wear all Summer long and truly are some classics you’ll be able to wear for several Summer seasons.

Summer dresses are one of my top Summer favorites. So comfortable to wear, easy to style, and keeps you looking Chic without a lot of effort. Here are some of my favorites and so affordable.

Making the 10 Summer Favorites you can’t live without! Summer Salads and one of my favorites would-be my Greek salad, So refreshing and light, I could eat it every day. This salad is so easy to make and you’ll love how tasty it is. You can eat it on a bed of romaine lettuce and a side of grilled chicken or just plain.

Greek Salad:

4 on the vine tomatoes cup up

1 English Cucumber cut up

1 cup Kalamata Olives

1 cup red onion chopped up

Italian dressing of your choice

Feta cheese (if doing whole30 leave off) use the amount you like

Add all items together and mix with dressing (I leave the cheese out and top my salad when I serve) As this makes enough for 4 servings. I like to make a batch and have it for a couple of lunches. Serve as is or on a bed of Lettuce of your choice, also great with grilled chicken.

Sangria Recipe: I shared this Sangria on my stories, and My DMS were flooded for the recipe. I did say how to make it in the stories and saved to cocktail highlights, but I know a lot of you like a written copy. White Sangria recipe: is a Moscato wine, one bottle of your choice 1/4 jar lemon-lime soda (sprite) 1/4 jar lime La Croix and cup chopped pineapple, cup Strawberries, 1/2 cup blueberries. Add all to a glass pitcher or serving jar… The measurements were based on the jar 1/2 the pitcher was the wine, then 1/4 soda 1/4 sparkling water ( hope that makes sense) I did the same for the Red Sangri, a bottle of sweet red wine, 1/4 soda, 1/4 Sparking water and for the fruit I used one apple chopped, 1 cup of grapes cut up and 1 cup blackberries mixed. The best flavor is to make a day ahead. I hope you guys enjoy it because this #sangriawine is a winner in my book.

Charcuterie Board The Instastory that gave me more DMS then I could handle:) My festive Charcuterie Board that has something for everyone and can feed a large gathering. It’s effortless to put together, and many of you asked for a shopping list. Here is what I used this time:

I like to use little dishes on my board to give hight and keep the fruit from making the crackers soggy. Also great for cheese spreads and Hummus. Date-Night. June took us on a much-needed date night out at The Gateway in Salt Lake. We had dinner at Midici’s Neapolitan pizza company than A drive-in Theater experience. If you haven’t been to The Gateway in Salt Lake and live in Utah, you need to make your way down there. The outside dining, beautiful wall art murals, interactive parks, water features, window displays are so pretty and inviting. They have some unique shops and entertainment as well.

Ways to Entertain and Dress Festive for 4th of July

Can you believe the 4th of July is a little over a week away! Seriously Summer just flies by, and I love to soak up every minute of it. This year the 4th is going to look a little different for all of us. Many of the activities we all love and enjoy May be canceled, For instance, parades, festivals, firework displays, and breakfast in the parks. however, this doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate American and this great Country in a little different way. (Did you know Utah is the number 1 most patriotic state?) Family BBQs, Backyard pool parties, or a lake day, little sidewalk fireworks, or even a small neighborhood firework display (if allowed in your city). Family and friends are what makes a Holiday special, So put on that American the great playlist, Plan the grocery shopping list and pull out all the stops on your Home decorating.

Our front porch welcomes & celebrates America, and I hope it gets you excited for what’s beyond the front door. I wanted to share with you a red, white, and blue nautical Bar cart perfect for serving drinks, a festive snack table to keep guests happy and tummies full before dinner, and our Stars and stripe dining table perfect for entertaining a small crowd. I hope they will inspire you to entertain this 4th of July and maybe make some new traditions.

Tip for creating an eclectic and festive tablescape for entertaining is to gather up all the items you have in the colors theme you are using, here, of course, is red, white, and blue. Don’t worry about the patterns. A mix is part of the fun. Place all our items in your workstation, take inventory and see what your missing (plates or glasses, etc.) This act will allow for easier shopping. Another tip would be to collect items that can quickly work for other occasions (think solid colors, patterns not necessarily the Holiday pattern.)

Try to think of other Holidays or events you could use items to decorate with. Say the Red polka dot bowl. The item could be used for Christmas, Valentine’s day, 4th of July, and even a Birthday. Layering is also another tip, layering tablecloths, placemats, ribbon, chargers, etc. Layering adds texture, for instance, if I removed the mesh ribbon from the center of the table below, The centerpiece of the table would look flat and not as interesting. Layering creates texture. Play with the items you’ve collected and remember to group in odd numbers, use dishes as risers to give your display height dimensions, and use some unexpected things. Using denim pockets from old jeans for the silverware holders is unexpected and useful.

My inspiration was all things red, white, and blue, days of Summer from the past. Coke and cherries remind me of hot summer days and add a little nostalgia to the tablescape. Now that we have the entertaining covered, let’s talk dressing festively. You could use the same concept I used for entertaining/ creating a tablescape, Collect all the Red white and blue clothing items and accessories, and create your outfits from the pieces you collected from your closet. While we all have STAY at HOME orders, we are being faced with having to care for our beauty routines ourselves. I don’t know about you, but I love having my hair, nails, eyebrows done regularly. I also enjoy a facial. Now more then ever, we have to maintain ourselves in ways we usually don’t. You know I love an excellent self-care day…maintenance is a little different than touching up our roots, doing eyelash extensions, or applying a set of nails. Here are a few tricks and products that are coming to the rescue.

Blondes that are having a little trouble with roots, baby powder works excellent, sprinkle in a little at the roots and rub with fingers. Not only does it act as a dry shampoo and suck up oil, but it also helps cover darker roots. These root touch up sprays, washout, and can be used for any color hair!
