Hello Pretty Ladies,

I hope your week is going well. Happy March! We celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary over the weekend and have been trying to get into the swing of a new week. It’s been a harsh winter in Utah this year, and with Valentine’s over, I added some simple Spring touches to our home this week and shared over on the gram. You all loved it so much that I thought I would recap nine simple and affordable little touches you could add to your home for a spring feel.

Adding Spring to the Kitchen area

If you’re like me, we’re primarily in our kitchens, and I like to start adding in the season here. You can make simple and affordable little changes that have a significant impact. I want to create tiny little vignettes for the seasons. For example, I start at my sink area and purchase new countertop cleaner, dish soap, and hand soap in a fresh scent of the season, add a new scrubber and a little silk pot of flowers, and a scented candle.

The cleaners and soaps are $3.99-$2.99, adding such a spring impact for so little money. The stand you can use every season for under $20, and a new little wooden scrubber is $6; I think it’s a cute little detail. A little silk flower pot is $6-9.00, and you can find spring candles for $10. This Fresh linen and Sea salt candle smells so good. Fresh and clean for Spring.

Spring Touches with color in mind

Add these cute striped ruffle dish towels, a Jute rug, Spring 40 oz Candle & candles, little birds, and silk flowers. To your space, please give it a fresh look and light up your room for Spring. Think lighter colors and colors of Spring that will work in your area. I choose yellow, green, white, and the natural color of jute.

Fresh flowers bring the outdoors in

I love fresh flowers too. Something about fresh flowers that make your home feel like you’re bringing the outdoors in: if you have been following me for a while, you know a bouquet of fresh flowers is something I treat myself to every week. I love trader joe’s, Costco flowers, and our local flower shops.

Changing out your Rugs

Changing out your rugs can make a significant impact on your space. Removing heavier fabrics and replacing them with lighter, airier ones, like jute, give your room a softer feel. Rugs can range in price, and you can find reasonable ones at places like Target and home goods. But I love Boutique rugs, and they are always having a sale. This darling jute circle rug comes in several sizes. I chose the smaller size as I knew it would fit perfectly in front of my sink and fridge. The circle is a fun change instead of the usual rectangle shape. (I got the large round for my entryway. )

Spring Center Piece for your Kitchen Island

Spring centerpieces can be easy to create, from a bowl with fresh lemons and limes to a simple flower centerpiece. You can get creative and use a dough bowl to add a bird’s nest and birds or bunnies. Of course, spring candles and fresh flowers are always a favorite. I will share several more ways in feature posts and stories on the gram, so tune in over there.

Hello pretty ladies. Spring is almost here, which means Summer is around the corner! This means Spending more time outdoors, and Beach & Lake Vacations are fast approaching. I took several pieces to Palm Beach, Florida, which helped me easily pack and organize my outfits—being able to mix and match some of the collections as well. Like in this outfit below: From the Jetties Beach & Nantucket Collection. The colors work together even though the patterns are different. It makes for a fun combination.

Don’t be afraid to mix and match patterns if the colors are the same. It works out great.

The terry cloth tunics have long been one of my favorite pieces from Cabana Life. I love how you can wear it as a bathing suit cover-up and a dress…. But it’s even cute, worn as a tunic paired with linen pants. A very versatile piece that takes you from the pool to the street.

I hope your weekend was full of love and blessings. We laid low, worked on some projects, and lounged at home. I’ve been on a seven-day cleanse, and staying home helped me to stick with it. I hope you had a beautiful Valentine’s Day. We went out with the kids (adult kids) for an early dinner at one of our favorite Mexican food restaurants in Salt Lake. The Red Iguana, You may have heard of it as it’s been on Dinners, Drive in’s, and Dives. It’s none of those things. Instead, it has a cute atmosphere right next to the railroad. Today, I am sharing a fun “new to me” brand, Elemis Skincare. I have heard so many great things about Elemis Skincare and have never had the opportunity to try this skincare line. Elemis reached out to me and asked if I would like to try 4 out of their top 10 products, and of course, I jumped at the chance.

As you are reading this, I am on a little Ski trip with my husband for his birthday in Sun Valley. We needed this little break together, and I was looking forward to it as it’s one of my favorite trips. We return with the family in March for our annual ski trip, which is also a favorite time. But there’s just something about taking the time to spend time together as just a couple, wouldn’t you agree?

Before we left town, I headed to Station Park to meet my friend Cammi at Cammi’s Happy Place for a little Athleta try-on, lunch at Twigs, and our Bookclub Live we did for Chico’s. Always fun to spend time with her and get a little work done. Business and pleasure, as they say.

Don’t you love a little workout wear refresher for Spring?🌿 I love a whole wardrobe refresher for Spring, but living in Utah, winter is long, and wearing Spring clothes will take a couple more months. But Spring workout- wear we can wear now, and let me tell you, adding in Spring wherever I can help add a little cheer to these cold dark days. Athlata seems to have workout wear that can quickly transition into streetwear. You can pair a sweater with jeans or an outer vest from the gym to grab coffee with a friend.

COzy soft crew neck sweatshirt paired with loose white linen pants you’ll wear all Spring & Summer. You really can’t go wrong with any piece, and no matter the sport or lounging you want to do.

I no black isn’t very colorful, but it is a go-to basic, and I wanted to share my go-to pieces that you could wear year-round and add a little pop of color with just one item. You’ll wear this quilted vest repeatedly, making it a great streetwear piece.

I hope your first week in February went well. Mine was busy getting work done, helping at school, and getting everything ready to head out of town for Ben’s birthday. Happy Sunday, I hope you’re having a beautiful Sunday. We’re having yet another snowy day in Utah. I don’t know about you, but I need a warm sunny vacation. Today’s “In the kitchen with D’Arcy” Sunday Recipe:🥒🍋🥒🍋🥒🍋 🥒 “Hydrate & Fiber Mocktail with Liquid IV” It’s a great recipe to get you ready for that warm sunny vacation. It helps hydrate and adds fiber, which can help you lose weight while adding many other great benefits that drinking water daily provides.

Here’s a great Hydrating & added Fiber Mocktail recipe using Liquid IV that tastes yummy, adds extra fiber to your diet and helps Hydrate your skin. “Drinking water is like washing out your insides.”

🍋🥒Hydrate & fiber water recipe:

-Water Pitcher

-Cocktail shaker

-Water

-Ice

-Juice of 1 lime

-1/2 cucumber sliced

-Mint (about 12 leaves) muddle if wish✔️

-2 Tablespoons Chia seed

-1 packet of Liquid IV cucumber mojito mix

Add all ingredients to a pitcher & Stir! Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, fill it with water, add a packet of Liquid Iv, and shake. Pour in glass (I added a decorative Ice cub) and garnish with Lime, cucumber & mint. Enjoy🥒
