Easy Slow Cooker Shredded Bbq Chicken Sandwhiches

Hello Pretty Ladies,

Happy Sunday, today’s in the kitchen with D’Arcy, it’s an easy Slow Cooker Shredded BBQ Chicken Sandwiches, a family favorite recipe. This is a perfect and easy recipe. Great for a hot summer day, no heating up that kitchen.

Easy Slow Cooker Recipe

Shredded Bbq Chicken sandwiches

Package of @foodandmeat co-op farm fresh chicken breast

1 18 oz jar of your favorite bbq sauce(I like Trader Joe’s organic Kansas City style bbq sauce) Or Stubbs original
1cup water
1 cup of diced white onion
1/2 cup diced green onion
1 tablespoon of mustard
1 tablespoon kitchen bouquet
1 teaspoon of pepper flakes

Place all ingredients in a slow cooker on high heat. Stir every so often. When the chicken starts to break apart, turn to warm and shred it with a chopper, two forks, or a hand mixer. Then, warm buns (we like Brioche buns), add pepper jack cheese if you like, and top with the shredded chicken.

Homemade Caprese Focaccia Bread

Homemade Caprese Focaccia Bread

Hello Pretty Lady,

The recipe I make often is a family favorite and has been highly requested by you. I’ve finally had a chance to get it up on the blog, and I hope you and your family love it as much as mine does. You’ll have to let me know in the comments below if you try it.

Focaccia Dough recipe:

4 cups flour, 2 teaspoons salt, 2 teaspoons instant yeast, 2 cups water. Whisk together the flour, salt, and yeast first, then add water and stir together. Add olive oil, then cover the bowl preferably with a lid or a cloth bowl cover. Stick the bowl in the fridge immediately; leave it there to rise for 12 to 18 hours (or for as long as three days). The dough recipe is one I tried from Alexandria | and it’s seriously so good on its own with rosemary and the Sea Salt. But, I just had to try it with my Caprice Toppings, and man, the combination is so good!

TIP:

I baked the bread the day or so before (double the batch and make a couple), freeze one for later.

Then I added all the toppings and baked for 15 minutes, or you can serve toppins cold on the baked foccia & drizzled with balsamic glaze, and served

Caprice Toppings:

-Organic Tomatoes

-Fresh Basil

-Fresh rosemary

-Chopped garlic cloves

-Mozzarella ( I like Trader Joe’s cut in 1/2, and I use a little of the oil it’s in to drizzle )

-Sprinkle flaky salt

-Drizzle with olive oil (I use garlic-infused)

Serve with :

Balsamic vinegar and olive oil

Bruschetta sauce (Trader Joe’s)

Love a little dipping, but it’s tasty all on its own

Other topping options:

Kamala olives

Jalapeños

The most anticipated Sale of the Year! It starts tomorrow, but only for cardholders with Icon Static…. I didn’t want non-cardholders to feel left out, so I scoured all 136 pages of the sale section to bring you my top picks throughout the week! Hoping you enjoy seeing some of the pieces I own and a peek at my wish list. I am swooning over them. Perfect pieces to add to your Summer wardrobe, transition into Fall, and pieces you’ll live in all Winter! This Sale is the best price of the Year and makes for a great time to stock up.

I’ve been shopping this sale for over 30 years and look forward to it every year. It’s a great time to pick up items/brands that are hard to find on sale! They have amazing beauty bundles you can’t get any other time of the year!

Items I purchase for my wardrobe, I wear, tend to wear on repeat as well as build my classic wardrobe with good quality pieces.

Apply here to shop for the Cardholder sale from July 8th to August 3rd. Store sales will open to the public from July 14th to August 3rd. Are you a cardholder? If you want to score early access, apply for a Nordstrom credit card ASAP. The retailer offers two types of cards, a retail credit card and a Visa credit card, which provide the same benefits and are eligible for early access to the Anniversary Sale. While your cardmember status depends on yearly spending amounts (shared below), all cardmembers automatically start at Influencer status, which means you’ll get an extra four days to shop the Sale before it opens to everyone.

Insider tips

Early access for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale begins tomorrow for Cardholders, and even I can’t stop until the 11th! The bummer is that things start selling quickly, so I have some tips!

Shop online! This is where you will find the most extensive selection!

Add to Wishlist! If you see something you love, add it to your wishlist, so the day you’re able to shop, you can immediately “add to cart”!

Add a different size! If the size you are looking for sells out in your size, add a different size to your shopping bag and check back often as things get returned and stocked! I’ve even had luck exchanging after the sale for the correct size and color.

Expedite Shipping! For $20, this bumps your order and gives you a better chance to get what you want!

Summer is finally here in Utah, and Today, I have a TV segment on Good Things Utah, and I thought with the 4th of July Holiday here on Friday, as well as my love of all things Nancy Meyers, Martha Stewart, and Ina Gardner. Summer Salad Season Crunchy Chicken – Sweet and Savory Salad

Hello Pretty Ladies,

I hope you had a great weekend. The weather in Utah has been beautiful, and we’ve been spending a lot of time outside working on Yard and Garden projects and craving salads. With that being said, for today’s “In the Kitchen with D’Arcy,” I am sharing my recipe for my Crunchy Chicken – Sweet and Savory Salad. It’s so good, the mix of crunchy Chicken and sweet pecans with the savory flavor of Blue cheese gives this mixed green and veggie salad that wow factor.

Crunchy Chicken – Sweet and Savory Salad Recipe:

2 Panko-crusted chicken breasts cut into cubes ( I use my Chicken Schnitzel recipe) (I make a couple extra that week for dinner & reserve to make this salad that week)

One Bag of mixed greens of your choice or hand chop ( I like 1 chopped romaine, 1 chopped iceberg, and a handful of spinach)

1/2 cup Green onions

1 large tomato, diced

One Carrot sliced however you like

1 cup Blue cheese crumbles

1 cup Candied pecans

Fresh pepper to taste

Balsamic glaze for drizzle

Homemade garlic croutons (I use leftover garlic bread, cut into cubes and warm in the oven until crispy)

My dressing of choice is a homemade Italian vinaigrette or balsamic vinegar; the boys prefer blue cheese dressing.

How to serve:

This salad serves four as a main course for dinner. If so, I make four salads in individual bowls by dividing the ingredients evenly. If serving as a side or taking it to a party, I add everything to a large wooden salad bowl and mix the lettuce with a good toss. Then, I layer all the ingredients except the salad dressing and let people add that to their liking.

Easy Green Onion Cheese Ball Recipe

Hello Pretty Ladies,

I hope you had a great May. Man, did it fly by so fast? Did it for you as well? I felt like I blinked and it was over. Today, I’m hopping on the blog to share one of my favorite quick and easy recipes, perfect for a quick appetizer. These are ingredients most of us have on hand, which means you can throw them together quickly if you need to take a dish to a party or serve a little something to guests who drop by.

The perfect quick Appetizer that’s sure to please every time. Even better, you can make it ahead of time, as its taste is even better.

Green Onion Cheese Ball Recipe:

1 pack of softened Cream Cheese

One cup of shredded cheddar cheese (reserve 1/4 cup to roll a ball in)

1 cup green onions (reserve 1/4 cup to roll ball in)

1/2 teaspoon Garlic Salt

Crackers of your choice (wheat thins are best), it’s a hard enough cracker to scoop up without breaking.

To create your Recipe:

In a medium-sized bowl

Use a mixer and whip up the cream cheese. When softened, add the cheese and mix until smooth. Then, add the green onion and garlic salt. Mix up.

Form into a ball, roll in the reserved green onion and cheese, place it back in the bowl, and cover. Place in the refrigerator until ready to use.

I prefer to make this a day in advance for optimal flavor.

Serve with crackers.

Great on cucumbers as well.

*Makes a great baked potato topping too

Midlife Helper: A Daily Water Drink

1 La Croix I like lime

1 scoop collagen- I like dressing your truth by Carol Tuttle

One scoop electrolytes– I like Empowered Electrolytes by Empowered Aging

1 scoop Chia seeds

1 cup of ice water

One cup of Ice

Stir and enjoy. If it’s too sweet, use a bigger cup and add more water. I’ll sometimes add more water as I drink.

Can you believe we’re at the end of April and heading into May? That happened so fast! I’ve had a lot going on since the beginning of the year, and I’m finally starting to feel like I’m seeing the light. Two basics you’ll want to add to your wardrobe, you’ll style so many ways and wear on repeat! The prettiest shade of pink Laren button-up top in beautiful silk. Fits true to size; I am in the small. Paired with NYDJ Light wash, slightly barrel jean, the leg isn’t too barrel that it’s a great width if you’ve been wanting to try but don’t want it to be rounded-denim in a size 4, I would say, size down, these are a little too big on me, I needed the size 2.. but super comfy and a great relaxed fit. (That Jean, you would wear every day)

The oversized shirt boasts a stylish denim look, but it’s crafted from cool and breezy lyocell, which lends it a lightweight drape. Tailored menswear details, from a point collar to long sleeves with button cuffs to a back yoke, keep the design classic. I would Size Down in this top. Mom paired it wth these Mona Wide Leg Trouser Ankle Jeans, which also run one size smaller. She loved how comfortable this outfit is, and adored the shade of pink. It’s both our favorite color, in this shade.
